The view here seriously never gets old—morning, afternoon, or evening, it always blows my mind. Every single meal I’ve had has been phenomenal (and yes, the desserts are just as amazing ). Portions are huge, so come hungry! I’ve been here with big groups of 8+ and also just a couple of us, and the staff has always been super attentive and genuinely pleasant. Honestly, this place is such a hidden gem and definitely one of my go-to spots in town.

Attended a Dress for Success Phenomenal Women brunch. The place was great. But looking out over the golf course was life. Absolutely gorgeous
I was asked to explain about my food review. The event had a brunch buffet. The food was cold. I don’t know if the Sterno wasn’t lit or what happened.

A small restaurant/bar at a golf course resort. You have to go through the club facility to get into the restaurant. The menu was limited (burgers and subs), but the food was great and freshly made. The wine selection was red and white (lol), but the Meiomi Cabernet was delicious. The gold purse view is the selling point, nightly recommend getting a table outside of the weather allows. Four stars just for the limited menu, the service was excellent.

Lakeview Bar is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with top-notch service. Ava and Elissa went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
The menu is impressively extensive, with something for everyone, and the quality of the food is outstanding. The club sandwich deserves a special shoutout — it’s out of this world! Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The mozzarella sticks were also perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside — exactly how they should be.
The atmosphere is just as good as the food. With plenty of TVs around, it’s the perfect spot to catch a game or enjoy a night out with friends. Whether you’re there for sports, great food, or excellent service, Lakeview Bar delivers on all fronts.

The BEST restaurant I have been to in Ypsilanti. We came here years ago and it has improved immensely! The severs are so personable. You can tell the staff takes pride in their work and has great leadership. They really make you feel welcome! The cocktail and wine list is extensive and impressive! I spoke to Jeff who I found out took over as food and beverage director last year and you can tell how much he has impacted the business! I wish we lived closer but my wife and I will surely be returning next time we are in Michigan! The food was also amazing!! Couldn’t believe it came out of such a small space. I would give the restaurant 10 stars if I could! Well done! Highly recommend!

Note this is a restaurant serving the local golf course. We ordered takeout dinner from them not knowing this. The food was not the same quality as it is for a standalone restaurant but seems more focused on serving the golfer (which obviously makes sense). If I were at the golf course I would happily eat here for the convenience but I wouldn’t recommend coming here just for the food.

The view is the only compelling thing about this place, and that’s if you happen to like golf. Our meal was long in coming. The food was OK, nothing special; my companion’s dinner roll was delivered when they were almost done with the meal and was a chewy mess. Our server never came to check on how we were doing and never refilled our drinks. Even though there was only two of us, they added a 20% gratuity onto our bill and I’m glad I spotted it. A mediocre experience.

I’ve been here a number of times for work lunches but today was the last. I was not informed that there is a 3% surcharge for using credit card nor was I told that there was an automatic tip added for a party of two.
If I had known about the surcharge I could have paid cash. I also don’t think it’s a great idea to have an automatic percentage tip added for a party of two. I almost always give at least 20% and often more. But when it’s automatic it’s no longer a tip. It took us 15 minutes to get water at the beginning, but I still probably would have given 20%.
It’s a matter of principle rather than what I was charged. Be transparent.
When I spoke to the manager calmly about it afterwards he said they have notices on the bar. I shared I didn’t sit there but at a table and I didn’t see anything nor was I informed. And, after giving my credit card and not being told when she took the card, it came back to me with these charges on it.
Buyer beware. Or at least informed.

Even if you aren’t playing here – eating here is worth stopping by all on its own!
The food is top tier delicious and worth every penny. The view from the outside seating is worth while, as well.
