It maybe a small place but the flavor here is HUGE. This small place might look like an unassuming bait shack or similar near the river, but what you’ll find inside is some simple tables with amazing food. Brisket you can cut with a plastic fork? Yes please! The pulled pork was also a cut above. It’s unpretentious and all about quantity BBQ. They also offer ordering ahead, so you can pick up food to go. I highly recommend and we will be back.

They have the best BBQ in Savanna, Illinois. The food is so good. They put a lot of time and effort into their cooking. The ribs & pulled pork are tender and flavorful. They actually grill their meats so it has a delicious smoked flavor. The Mac & cheese is cooked great! It is buttery, cheesy. The noodles are aldente. The baked beans are homemade with bacon in them. The corn bread is also amazing. The cornbread was warm, fluffy & soft. They put honey butter on the corn bread. The corn bread melts in your mouth. The customer service is excellent. They are very kind and welcoming. They also sell shaved ice with all sorts of flavors to choose from. I highly recommend Eager Beaver BBQ.

It was a little hard to find but so absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, the best bbq my bestie and I have had. Their brisket Mac n cheese was fireeee. We got shirts as well to make sure we support them. Not only was the food amazing but so were they. They were so kind and sweet. We just love the name, it’s hilarious. You can tell they enjoy what they do and you can taste the love as well as feel it inside the restaurant. It felt like home. We will deff be back and bring some visitors.

Amazing operation going on here. Crossing the train tracks and going through the fence you almost feel like you’re going somewhere you’re not allowed…But once you step inside you feel right at home. Great service and conversation. Watched them chop wood for the smoker. You can see all the ingredients behind the counter. No bs in that kitchen. Food was amazing. The ribs were bone gnawing good. The whole damn thing burger was hot and juicy. The cornbread and butter was divine. The guys running that kitchen deserve the world. Sweet hearts serving fabulous food. Will be back !

We stumbled on to this place on a walk, and we are so glad we did! The young, friendly guy showed us the menu with a smile and we were convinced it’s a nice place. Can smell the smoker cooking!

The brisket here is hands-down the best I’ve had—not just in Savanna, but anywhere. The interior is simple: three long tables set on a concrete floor, but everything was clean and well-kept. The walls are decorated with quirky, humorous photos that add a touch of charm. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Wait staff were very pleasant. My order was incorrect, but the waitress seemed to be new so it’s understandable. They didn’t have beans for their nachos, so it was chips, meat, bbq sauce, and cheese. Nachos were cool, not warm. Mac & Cheese with brisket was great. Loved it! Beaver Balls were cold in the middle. Very Disappointing. They had a nice flavor, but that was the end for me. There was my party of 2, and another couple in there at about 5pm, so it wasn’t packed. I won’t go back.
