This place has the most amazing Eggs Benedict that they offer on certain days only (but thankfully they use the thick ham and not some weird sandwich slice). The diner is always pretty empty when we go there, maybe a couple other tables sat. So it’s nice and quiet and the food comes out fast! Very very friendly waitresses and nice, casual dining.

Go there quite often, and was excited when the management announced they were coming out with new menus. For some reason this transition is taking a really long time. After that update I feel they should be able to draw a regular crowd and the location and parking is quite good.

This place has the best and cheapest breakfast we’ve had in Hilo this week. We got in here right away and the staff were friendly and kind. We got the mahi-mahi with rice and extra fish, the Puka O Ka La with Portuguese sausage, bacon, and hashbrowns, the kids pancake with a side of bacon the kids grilled cheese with fries, hot chocolates, and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was delicious, especially the fish.

Really chill ambiance outside, nice high back booths inside. Separate bar area and dining areas. Full bar and gameroom with dance floor arcade pool tables and darts open in the evenings. Restaurant (which is also known as Coquis Hideaway) is pumping out good food. Nice staff.
