Decent food for the price. The warm rolls served was nice. I hope our server will get better with experience. Our dirty dishes sat in front of us longer than necessary. Thursday Music Trivia was fun. I’d go back for that. Nice atmosphere. Appeared clean. Ladies room was clean.

Tucked in a busy stretch of the fabulous downtown area, E.G. Nick’s is worth the drive from anywhere in metro Detroit. I was part of a party of five on a weeknight – we came from as far as Highland and Wyandotte – and we were not disappointed. I had the Cedar Canyon Burger which was cooked to perfection and delicious, albeit a little sloppy because of the cole slaw. A friend who is Italian ordered the lasagna and raved about it. Our server, Jaida, was very pleasant and helpful. The only downside – to be expected – was that parking was a little tight and hard to find, but that’s the sign of a healthy downtown economy, so I overlooked it. We’ll definitely return and try other menu items.

We had lunch here today and were very impressed with the food & service. I feel bad I can’t remember our servers name, he was a very handsome African American man with amazing braids. He was so friendly and attentive. Bringing refills without us asking and checking in regularly to make sure everything was ok. We really appreciated his wonderful service. Our food came out fast and it was delicious. We will be returning soon.

Not worth going to, I have been here a few times when visiting family. The food always makes my stomach hurt. It’s very greasy, and the drinks are interesting but not enough to make it worth the stomach troubles.

I got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, it was not spicy, it was most just greasy and had some weird slaw on it that made no sense with the food. The fries are okay.

We also got the arancini but it was a little dry. And we got the Spinach Artichoke dip which was okay. Although the chips left grease on the plate.

We came here around 2pm on a Friday with 6 people and were able to be sat with no problem.

I also got a Griswold Nog which came in a very cute moose cup.

I went to this place with a friend for dinner. This burger was amazing I got the ring of fire burger and it tasted perfect. I usually don’t try different or signature type burgers because they usually don’t end well but I was really glad I got this. The atmosphere is pretty easy-going and it has nice decor. I also love that they have a TV screen that shows some of the dishes that they serve so you know what it looks like.

The main reason for the negative review is the woman manager working Friday night 2/27 with dark hair. We put our name
On the waitlist and we’re sitting 3 feet from the host stand. 2 host and a manager standing up there. My aunt didn’t feel her phone vibrate bc we were chatting. 5 minutes later the manager (with a very rude attitude) approached up and said are you with the bishop party? And we politely said yes. She began to say how we were so lucky that she “found us” bc they were about to give away our table. They never once said “bishop party” or tried to locate us. She continued on saying how lucky we were and how we didn’t respond to the text. It was overkill and snobby. Total put off to the dining experience. My whole party found her rude and off putting. Especially when we were so close and there were 3 people at the stand. The food was fine (perch tower do not recommend but my steak was cooked well and breadsticks are awesome) but likely won’t be back. The manager needs a lesson in customer service.

The staff working there were professional & attentive. Our burgers were awesome. Loved the atmosphere! The outdoor seating is perfect & the outdoor fire places bring a warmth to the ambiance. Looking forward to my return

Seriously underrated place. Fantastic food – Tacos, meatloaf, fries, burgers. Great service both times. Only down side was the noise level gets intolerable Friday and Saturday nights. Had to leave from the noise to couldn’t hear my friend sitting across the table.

I’ve suggested investing in some noise cancelling technology. Let’s see if they act on it. Otherwise a wonderful place. The Christmas decor is adorable.

They had a special limited menu for the ice festival. I ordered the gumbo, it was more like soup than a gumbo. Not very hardy. My wife had chicken with sauce over biscuits, not enough chicken sauce to even eat a half a biscuit. Don’t think we will be back anytime soon if at all.

My boyfriend and I really have tried to make this our place. We have walked out multiple times before due to no one even approaching our table. I called before a reservation yesterday hoping for a better experience….Finally! Success! Ellie was our server in the bar area and she did excellent. I will be back to give her an extra tip for her service. That’s what I hope all are experiences are like. Thank to the hostess also that listened to my issue when I called about our previous experiences. Thanks everyone! We hope to be back more often.
