Live right across the street for a couple months and their smoker always smells so good. Finally went to try and got 12 pork ribs, mac n cheese, and baked beans and it was SO good. Everyone was nice and after 2 min of being opened already had about 5 local costumers. Great place you gotta try.

We literally turned the car around to try this place . The brisket is supposed to be tender meat yet I had a hard time pulling it apart . This WAS NOT brisket , it was shoulder meat at best . Served cold! Chicken was dry and flavorless … needed salt.. we got chicken brisket and ribs . Ribs were the best relative to everything else . Do not order their brisket or chicken. Brisket was mostly fat .

With fear and trembling did I order from this blackowned restaurant. The reviews are horrible but I wanted to support. Considering the newest review was nearly a year ago I decided to take a chance. I ordered around 1130 AM on a Friday from the front cart and waited on the bench with my dog. The menu posted says fish is available on Sunday and Friday but it only available on Sunday. I thought to order fish because it’s the only item with good reviews. I purchased a meal that included 6 pork ribs, 3 pieces of cornbread, greens, and mac. The ribs were moisted and meaty. My spouse did feel they werent trimmed and had alittle too much fat. The dry rub and barbecue sauce weren’t exciting…like regular kraft barbecue sauce. The greens were good but alittle less vinegar maybe. The mac needed salt but was definitely not bad just not finished. I almost think it wasnt finished baking…oh and the mango lemonade was okay I wouldn’t pay $6 again. I will dare to try them again.

Nice spot tucked off the side of the road. You will miss them if you’re driving too fast. So here are my thoughts. I ordered the fried fish, Mac and cheese, and greens. The fried fish was cooked perfectly. The greens had a kick but were good. The Mac and cheese, dry dry. My husband had brisket and chicken. The brisket had a lot of fat and he said his chicken had no flavor. The most disappointing part of this, we ordered banana pudding. There were no bananas in the pudding, just pudding and wafers…. I thought it was called banana pudding because bananas are in the pudding.

I used to love eating here however it’s really gone down. Today I got the pulled pork, which was at least three days old and burnt. The mac & cheese was overcooked as well. The collard greens were definitely straight out of a can of no seasoning. Not only that the young lady taking orders was extremely rude. Please do better!

I spent ALOT of money here for lunch today for my family and it was DISRESPECTFUL. We’ve ate here before and it was decent bbq. Idk what happened but almost $100 wasted. LITERALLY! The ribs weren’t cooked the Mac and cheese tasted gritty, the cornbread was DRY, the pulled pork was greasy, the pulled chicken was burnt idk how that even happens. The potato salad was sweet like candy with no flavor besides sugar. Unfortunately to top it off the older lady serving was SO rude, I was nervous to even go back to say anything she was mean when I ordered I’d hate to see what she’d say when I wanted to return my food. Only thing that was good were the canned baked beans and the greens were ok. Literally a waste of money bc we can’t eat this. My kids love bbq but they were disappointed too they asked me if this is dollar store bbq or something?

So I have lived down the road for the past year and I’m so mad I never stopped by before. The guy there Mr.Johnson really friendly and super nice.

The brisket, THE BRISKET! Was the most Juiciest brisket I’ve had thank you so much for satisfying my craving for some real food from the south

Summer ain’t summer without BBQ.

Chef Derrick is an award winning BBQ pit master that knows how to control the heat of the grill to produce succinctly barbecued proteins that have you asking for a second plate.

I ordered the burnt ends, collard greens and the unadvertised candied yams. And of course I had to take the banana pudding (that was made from scratch) to go.

For the non meat eaters, you can order fried fish as the substitute for your plate.

So the next time that your heading south on Route 1 in Northern Virginia, make a pit stop at Dyvine BBQ.

On way home from Richmond pulled off 95 to grab a bite, so glad I avoided the normal fast food grind. The owner had the smokers going with that wonderful smoke smell over the area and knew I had to stop. I wanted some ribs but they were still on the smoker so went with the pulled pork. He was out of most of the sides (I usually get Mac n cheese w/bbq) but got the baked beans and was not disappointed. There were no meat bits but the beans had a sweet tang, was that a bit of bourbon? And were really good.

He was in the process of getting ready for being open during the week, but for now (as of Feb) only open on weekends

I ordered two leg quarters and they had zero seasoning. Tasted like charcoal chicken. The collard greens were extremely sweet and disgusting. The cashier was touching her hair and fixing plates with no gloves, no hair net, or no sanitizer.

The portions were good size but I had to throw the food away because in my opinion it was not edible.

Waste of $25. Would not recommend or return.
