My kids wanted Chinese food for a change during our visit to Big Bear Lake. This restaurant is within walking distance from our hotel. So despite the look of the restaurant from outside, we gave it a try. The food was surprisingly good with generous portion. The menu offers good options as well. My kids ate more than normal. If the restaurant interior were updated and better cleaned, I would’ve given it 5 stars.

On our first visit to Big Bear Lake, we had lunch at this Chinese restaurant. We originally planned to go to a Japanese restaurant next door, but it had closed down, so we went here instead. The restaurant staff spoke Mandarin with a northern Chinese accent, and they were also speaking Chinese with the kitchen staff, so the chefs were probably Chinese too! We ordered two kinds of noodles and a lamb dish, and surprisingly, the taste was quite good, although the portions were a bit small. The restaurant was a bit old, but clean! If you’ve had too much Western food at Big Bear Lake, you might want to try the Chinese food here.

I had a great experience here. The salt & pepper chicken wings were some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy and full of flavor. The egg flour soup was delicious, and the egg fried rice was perfectly seasoned. The fried wontons were incredible. The chicken and broccoli dish was just okay; the broccoli was nicely crisp but lacked flavor, as did the chicken. I was hoping for a sweet treat, but the vanilla ice cream wasn’t available. Still, the service was excellent—our waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid spot with standout dishes worth trying.

A very nice atmosphere, the service is okay. The pork was perfect. I’m a student of authentic Chinese cuisine, and this place nails it. The prices are good too, compared to other places in Big Bear especially for the portion and effort poured into the food.
Update: I tried the Buddha fest and it’s nice and flavorful.

Went to Big Bear on Labor day weekend and it was busy at the Village so we walked half a mile to this restaurant. It was surprisingly good (just don’t order the lychee martini not good).
Had the scrambled egg shrimp, kung pao chicken, salt pepper wings (such a hit), fried rice, beef chowfun.
There were only 2 people who worked the tables and the food came out quick

I came in for lunch and had a nice meal. When I first walked in the front patio seemed very scrappy and dirty, but walked into a nice large restaurant with many large comfortable booths & tables. It was two in the afternoon on Wednesday, and I was the only one there.
I started with a lychee martini and I must say, it had a very strange taste. I didn’t quite recognize it because it did not taste like lychee should. I switched to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Then I started with the cucumber salad, which was nice. Prepared with a nice garlic sauce with big chunks. Then I ordered the chicken curry and although it was pretty darn good, it did not really have that much curry flavor, which was disappointing. There was a lot of tender chicken in it so overall it was a very good dish. I just wanted more curry flavor.
Pretty decent prices with large portions. Service was friendly and efficient. Very large menu.

I was absolutely shocked by how good the food was. Service was a little slow but the taste of the food, cost the portions, etcetera made up for it. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would find good Chinese food in a tiny little town like big bear.

Guys, I’m not kidding I think is the best chinese food I had in USA, just perfectly crafted and fresh. I went in Asia last year in HK and the food is exactly on the same level. Added some pics here. 5 stars

I love the food here. I always get the Sweet and Sour Pork. The Lamb cumin was great. The server didn’t seem to be in a good mood.
