If you’re over 55, have a gut of steel, and enjoy Fox News blaring from ten TVs while you eat abysmally bad food, this place might be for you. This restaurant came recommended by a friend who has since been banned from making dining suggestions over this experience. From the start, the staff was clearly overwhelmed and dealing with complaints from other tables because the restaurant was out of multiple menu items. How a restaurant runs out of baked potatoes is beyond me. One member of our group eats gluten-free and struggled to find anything safe, as staff didn’t seem confident at all about what was in their own food. He ordered their ribs after his other options were declined after receiving a gluten free menu and quickly discovered the barbecue sauce still contained gluten. He was the first to get sick. Three people ordered the Burnt Ends Mac & Cheese and all ended up with food poisoning, forcing us to cancel our plans today to recover. I ordered the Chicken Caprese, described as an “open-faced sandwich,” which turned out to be a chicken breast awkwardly balanced on lettuce and a thick, uncut slab of focaccia that shredded the roof of my mouth. I also spent the night regretting it. Our waitress was kind and attentive; none of this is her fault. The problems here are clearly systemic. The atmosphere was stale, complete with a lingering cigarette smell, and we left hoping others think twice before spending their money here.

My friend and I had dinner on 2/25. The food was AWFUL! My friend had chicken alfredo and vomited violently after we left! He had extreme gas pains and spent most of the night on the john! I had chicken fried chicken. It was hard and dry! The dinner roll was hard and not edible! It was a horrible dining experience!

I’ve eaten here in the past, but their food has really improved. I ate two meals there yesterday and both were superb. Steak and eggs for breakfast with perfectly done, tender steak medallions and crispy hash browns. Nice! For dinner I had to try the Brisket with Mac ‘n cheese. Definitely a great experience. Loved it, and a casual, efficient environment within the Midnight Rose Casino.
