Been in the area 2 years (came from Jersey so I have very high standards), and this is the ONLY Indian restaurant I will take people to when they visit. The BEST North Indian and biryani dishes, with the same taste and heat (ask for 8+) every single time. I have taken family here from Edison, NJ and they rave that this place is better than any restaurant in that area. Highly recommend their Gobi 65, Chicken 65, Malai Kofta, and Paneer Tikka Masala! All of their biryanis are great.

But the star? Gutti Vankaya Biryani—small eggplants stuffed with spicy masala, slow-cooked with fragrant basmati rice. Every bite had layers of flavor: coconut, sesame, tamarind, and all those warming spices Telugu cuisine is famous for. Paired with fresh Paneer Tikka Naan and cooling raita, it was perfection.
Finding authentic regional Indian flavors in the DMV isn’t always easy, but Dwaraka’s Bawarchi nails it with generous portions, casual vibes, and food that tastes like home. Sometimes the best Halloween treats come on a plate, not in a wrapper ️

My husband & I dined here for the first time and we had a great time.
We got seated right away and our server was very attentive. Food arrived in about 20 minutes and everything tasted really good. We were glad that we chose the dishes recommended by our server. My favorite was the Chicken Dum Biryani and hubby’s was the Goat Curry.
Parking lot is huge, ambience is super casual and I recommend it for date nights.

We had the Chicken Tika Masala and give that a 6 out of 10. The Goat Curry was not good and WAY toooo salty, we did not eat it 0 out of 10. The garlic Nan was 10 out of 10.

The food was extremely salty and not enjoyable. Even though the restaurant closes at 10 PM, we were made to feel unwelcome starting at 9:30. The food was served late, and we felt rushed the entire time, barely able to finish our meal comfortably.

I had the pleasure of dining at Dwaraka Bawarchi many times with the family , and it was an absolute treat! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Best Biriyani in town! The star of the show was undoubtedly their Vijayawada Chicken Biryani flavorful, perfectly spiced, and with just the right balance of aroma and taste. It’s a must-try for anyone who loves a good biryani!
The Mutton Pulao was another standout tender mutton paired with aromatic rice that made each bite better than the last. We also ordered a variety of appetizers, and each one was more impressive than the last. The Chilli Chicken was perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, while the Chicken Pakoda was wonderfully crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. If you’re a fan of bold flavors, the Chicken Majestic is a definite winner a perfect blend of spices that will leave you wanting more.

This is the second time I did take out because first time experience was decent. This time I ordered a chicken dish appetizer for take out. Portion was fine, taste was fine too. The dish had a hair in the food, that is very bad. For me hygiene and health is as important of not more than the price and taste. Not sure I will want to go here again.
