Tasty food at an affordable price for the portions! I went with a friend & we had plenty of leftovers for later.
I haven’t eaten at many Indian restaurants, so my review is tempered my own limited experience. I don’t feel I know the food well enough yet to judge harshly.
That said, the curry was good but a bit spicier than expected—not a problem, though! I know I’m a baby when it comes to handling spice.
The naan didn’t stay soft long after it arrived fresh at the table, unfortunately, but it was still good for eating with the sauce.
Chai was a bit stronger than I’d normally drink, but I tend to prefer lighter teas anyways.
The shape of the interior amplified noise a lot, so dining a handful of tables away from a rowdy group made for an unexpectedly loud atmosphere.
The drinking glasses and cutlery seemed a bit smudged when we got to the table. It didn’t bother me enough to not use them, though—possibly stained from the wash but I dunno!
Our server was friendly and accommodating when it came time to package leftovers. He was helpful with answering questions about the food.

Me and my husband went here for lunch during our Portland trip, and it was honestly one of the best places we found. The food tasted very authentic, and the spice levels were just right for Indian spice (which can be hard to find!). They had lots of variety for both veg and non-veg, and everything felt really fresh. The kesari for dessert was so yummy. Service was super friendly, and the place itself had a nice, spacious ambience.

Very courteous staff. Excellent vegetarian selection. Flavors were excellent, spice level was perfect for the navaranta korma. Good appetizers too with a broad dipping sauce selection. I definitely want to come back and try other dishes.

My girlfriend and I recently ordered takeout from Dwaraka Indian Cuisine in Portland. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Jalfrezi, garlic naan, and some papadoms to share. Everything was tasty, and the portions were solid.
That said, while it was a satisfying meal, it wasn’t the most standout Indian food I’ve had. Still, if you’re in the area and craving Indian, it’s a reliable option with a good variety of dishes.

This is a cute little restaurant. I have only tried South Indian food here. I like their dosa. Sambhar is delicious but quantity could be more generous. It was busy, but we were seated promptly and service was good.

It was my servers 1st day and honestly he tried his best but he was distracted, didnt follow up on me after my food came and I had to ask for the owner.
The food was VERY TASTY but not spicy enough so the owner brought me extra chilis
chili’s.
I believe following up on customers and asking about their food is important
I was told they offer a buffet and will be back to try that

Ordered a chicken curry, one eggplant dish, a biriyani and some naan. The only dish that was enjoyable was the biriyani.
The chicken was tough and chewy to the point of not eating it. The eggplant was ok but not great.
Not good.

I am making this comment as DoorDash doesn’t allow ability to publish reviews and owners can hide the reviews. I ordered 2 mysore masala dosa’s. One of it was burned completely, was over fermented which made it taste sour. The samosa also wasn’t good and used pastry sheets for wrapping. Traditionally, samosa are made using batter. The restaurant is not upto food quality.

The dining area is cozy and well decorated but the FOOD is the star of this show. Order the eggplant pakora and thank me later. The sauce quartet they bring out, each one is more delightful than the last. The battering on the pakora is flaky, rich, and the perfect thickness. I actually haven’t tried anything yet because I’m so thrilled about my first appetizer I had to write a review immediately. The Bollywood Martini is also very well done, a delicate balance of flavors that isn’t overpowering in any direction.
UPDATE: I just tried the chicken makani Thali and I think this might be the best Indian food in Portland. One small thing: if you’re sensitive to salt, it may be on the saltier side for those watching sodium intake. I think it’s perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We had their buffet-style lunch for $18. It was a good opportunity to sample several of their dishes. Those I tried were okay but lacked flavor complexity, being more on a salty and sour taste.
