This was by far one of the best dining experiences we had in our trip to Texas. The food was excellent! The service and hospitality was fabulous. I wish we were not just passing through i would have loved to visit again before we head home.

Oh my gosh y’all, it only took us 4 years to get here! It was so good!! The scrabbled eggs reminded me of the eggs I had when I was a little girl. The toast was perfectly toasted and buttery. I’ll ask for softer bacon but my husband loves crispy bacon. The bistro is so cozy, adorable and also reminded me of being at my grandma’s house when I was little. The owner is such a sweet lady and I forgot her name. SO SORRY. JUAN cooks and I yelled out “compliments to the chef”!. We were the only ones in there in that moment. He came out to say hi, I told him they were the best eggs I’ve had since childhood and you think they’re just scrambled eggs but NOPE! his food touched my soul, he’s not a cook, HE IS A CHEF

I stopped into this cute little restaurant for lunch after hosting an open house, and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious — super fresh and full of flavor. You can really tell they care about quality. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch, and easily the best place to eat around the lake. Highly recommend stopping in!

Fantastic hidden spot for great home cooked meals. Literally. The owner is in the kitchen right up front as soon as you walk into this converted home. It feels like you walked into your favorite aunt’s house and she’s cooking up your favorites. Great staff. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.
Food was delicious. I had 3 tacos. Al pastor, chicken fajita, and picadillo. Everything was excellent. The salsa had to be one of my favorites that I’ve tried. Very flavorful and a perfect amount of heat. This was the spicy salsa. I didn’t try the mild.
If you’re visiting canyon lake and happen to be nearby, I recommend stopping in. They’re only open during lunch time though Tuesday through Friday so plan accordingly.
Also, she’s only one person in the kitchen. Be patient and respectful of the potential time it may take to make your food. It’s all made from scratch and very clearly made with love. Will definitely be revisiting. Thank you for the delicious lunch!

This place changed ownership a little over a year ago. New menu and all was good. When you are going as a group call ahead so they can save seating together.
