Ate here last night after seeing a performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. We absolutely loved it!! Was a quick walk from the theater. The servers were great. So kind and gave great recommendations. The bar tender girl was also so sweet. They all sang happy birthday to me with a candle on my dessert. The menu had so many options and the food and drinks were just delicious! We all enjoyed the calamari, it was cooked perfectly and so different and delicious in the chili sauce. We also all loved our entrees, chicken piccata, salmon & chicken alfredo were a hit. We will definitely coming back anytime we are in this area! Highly recommend

During my recent stay at the hotel, I found myself having breakfast at the attached restaurant each morning. Unfortunately, the experience fell short due to being severely understaffed—only one waiter and one cook were on duty. This made for a frustrating breakfast service, as it’s impossible for one person to effectively manage 20 to 30 guests, especially during a busy conference period.
Lunch, however, was a different story. Initially, I enjoyed my meals for the first two days, but on my last visit, even with the restaurant nearly empty, the cook mistakenly served me a dry, cold dish. Clearly, there’s significant room for improvement here.
On a positive note, the ambiance is lovely—the decor and lighting create a pleasant atmosphere, and the bathrooms are impeccably clean. The staff members who assisted me were friendly and attentive, but to enhance the overall experience, it’s evident that more staff is essential to elevate both service and food quality.

Pros: The bartenders are Amazing! Natasha & Jason truly are wonderful people, attentive, good convo, helpful recommendations and all! Great music playing.
Cons: The cost is too high for what you receive. I ordered shrimp scampi and received 9 pieces of shrimp and broccoli, no pasta, no bread, nothing else.
Sauce on the Fried calamari was delicious my sweet with a little tang. Be aware there are also pieces of Jalapeño breaded and fried there also.

This place is 2 blocks from njpac. On a Saturday night , one bartender, one waiter, no host, no manager in site. Walked up to bartender did not care. This is a huge restaurant in middle of Newark. This place looks like it had potential but very poorly staffed had better service at the yard.

Highly recommend Dutch’s when in the NJ PAC area. Our waiter Felix was as good a waiter as we have seen. Bartender Jason stopped by our table several times as it was quiet for a Friday night, regulars out trick or treating with families.
We split a delicious scallops wrapped in bacon with rosemary appetizer, served sizzling. Entrees were chicken tacos and a smash burger, both exceptional.
Can’t wait to return.

Attended a private luncheon with some colleagues and friends. The place has a nice vibe with excellent service. The menu has a wide variety of selections and vegetarians will leave satisfied. If you live local give this place a try for happy hour. $$$

This place was phenomenal! We were there for an event at the Prudential Center, and we arrived early. We decided to try this out since we stayed at Tryp, and we were not disappointed! First, the decorations at this place were really nice, and the bar is quite fantastic! We ordered an Old Fashioned and a Jalapeño Margarita for starters, and they were killer! Pun intended. And yes, we ordered 3 more Old Fashions during the meal, they’re that good! The truffle fries were just perfectly fried, with a soft moist center and crunchy crust just unbelievable! We proceeded with ordering the margarita ceviche along with the short rib and the shrimp tacos. All of the food was spectacular! The staff was very friendly and the service was on point! From a price standpoint, I thought they were reasonable. This atmosphere was overall comfortable and definitely a place that we want to return to.

Father’s Day lunch my son in law pick the place. We got inside no one was there to greet us the only staff was behind the bar on her phone another guest had to get her attention this was unacceptable but didn’t want to mess up the day. We were told to sit anywhere we ordered the food was good but the drinks not so good. They charge 20% service charge which was $68 like what smh. Definitely a no for me.

Stopped in for lunch with a colleague and was blown away. I’m a serious burger critic, and this was easily one of the best I’ve had—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The sweet potato fries were a great bonus—crispy and just the right amount of sweet. Definitely coming back!
