Very straightforward, efficient. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming with amount of selections, this reviewer would have liked to see the empty station with more choices (I’m also of the opinion it shows better for Guest). All of the meats offered were good, including the scrapple. All the food was relatively fresh, however there were a few items that were not to temp. 2 standouts: Syrup & chicken tenders. These are undoubtedly packaged, not homemade, yet they were very good. I was tempted to make my own chicken n waffles but I’m not about that life. Affordable, quick, decent experience.

Great restaurant and attached grocery store. Ate at the restaurant first. Service was a little slow but the food was very good! They also were very accommodating to my celiac needs. We then went to the grocery store. Great meat/seafood and deli counters. Found everything that I needed plus more! Highly recommend all of Dutchway’s locations!

Just left there an hour ago. First time there and we’ll definitely return. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and so friendly and attentive. The staff working behind the meat cutting board were nice and polite. All the food was hot and constantly rotated. There was plenty to choose from to eat. We were sat at a table right away and greeted right away by staff.

Breakfast Buffet Monday, disappointing. No omelette station only on weekends. Food was not hot, not good choices. Eggs scrambled and cheese scrambled no other egg choices, no sausage gravy for biscuits in which were hard and dry. Pancakes were hard around the edges. Did have some good fresh fruit but for $15 a person not worth the money. You can order off the menu! I did not but I would suggest you do.

Servers were very nice. We all had the seafood buffet, no crab legs. There were a variety of food to try. They had shrimp (warm and cold), clams, crab cakes, fried catfish, salmon, hamballs, meatloaf, fried chicken. There was a veggie, fruit and a salad station with a kinds of food to pick from. Desserts with ice cream and sunde bar. Overall, everything was pretty good a little pricey but good. Our family had a great time.

One Star: The Buffet That Time Forgot

Picture this: You walk into Dutch-Way Buffet at 3:30PM, and it’s like stepping into a culinary Twilight Zone. Welcome to the buffet that time forgot! We were there for lunch, but the food must have caught the last train out of town. Turkey? Probably on vacation in the Bahamas. French fries? They’ve joined the witness protection program. There we were, staring at empty trays like they were ancient relics of meals long gone.

We thought, “Surely, they’ll bring out dinner at 4 PM!” But no, we got to witness the slowest and saddest buffet reveal in history. By 5 PM, it was like they were rationing out food like it was the apocalypse. “Oh, you wanted a full dinner? Here’s a single shrimp. Good luck!”

The staff were like statues in a museum—beautifully unhelpful and completely motionless. They gave us the kind of look that said, “Don’t bother us, we’re busy doing absolutely nothing.” Honestly, it was like a comedy roast, except we were the ones getting roasted.

The literal plate of food I got could not have given an ant enough nutrients to survive. I’m convinced if I dropped it outside, the ants would’ve filed a complaint.

I asked to speak to the manager and calmly explained that we barely ate because the trays were empty. Her response?

“I seen you eat chicken?”

Yes. Yes you did. Because it was either chicken or the decorative parsley. My entire group was essentially force-fed the same exact food because nothing else existed. This wasn’t a buffet — this was a group chicken sentence.

I asked if they could at least rectify it, or maybe let us eat when dinner actually came out. That’s when I learned the punchline of the night:
There’s an upcharge for dinner… and an extra upcharge for crab.

Mind you, this so-called “dinner buffet” consisted of:
• Burnt hush puppies
• A few sad pieces of fish
• Some questionable shrimp
• Clams that looked like they were asking for help

That’s it. That’s the show. Even funnier is it still wasn’t all out and it was 5pm!

And if you read their reviews, you’ll notice the real comedy act: the same copy-paste reply every time —

“We’re very sorry, this is very unusual, we usually receive 4–5 star reviews.”

At this point, that response deserves its own menu item.

In conclusion, if you enjoy the thrill of chasing phantom food and being served a five-star dose of absurdity, this is your place. If you actually want to eat, run like you’re being chased by a buffet ghost.

Read the Reviews, look at the bad ones, and call me a liar….

Stopped here on my way home from visiting my wife at the hospital. Had the buffet. Food was hot, service was good. To me the food quality has gone down. The chili tasted like it was from a can and dry in texture.

family restaurant , extremely clean , with the amazing staff and variety of selections on the menu. We visited on a Wednesday right around noon and had no problem getting seated , the food order arrived in a few minutes and our waitress was great in recommending an excellent desert (brownie with ice cream) that we hadn’t planned on getting but it was great.
My only regret is not making note of our waitresses name to give her credit for the excellent service and advice she provided. We will stop back again when we’re in the area.

A cozy little place to stop for a Buffet breakfast. While not a huge buffet it still packs a punch. You can still order off the menu if you wish as well. Food is warm and tastes good. The staff is very friendly and quick to refill your beverage(s). Stop by for some country food.
