Dutch Valley Buffet & Restaurant is the only Buffet on SR 39 worth visiting. Wife and i are done with the Der Dutchman on SR 515 in Walnut Creek and are now loyal to the Dutch Valley Buffet in Sugarcreek Oh off SR 39 in Holmes County Ohio. This place is the cleanest of all, with the freshest food of all. This is the only one left that still offers the Broadest Chicken and that great cream corn. The place is so clean with a great relaxing atmosphere were the food is always hot and fresh. Too many times we were disappointed with the Walnut Creek Der Dutchman in Walnut Creek. This is the only dinner buffet in the area to enjoy a great experience. We visit 2 x per year. I did not have a chance to grab a lot of photos, but here are a few!!!

Stopped to get some donuts at Dutch Valley and stayed for lunch. I got the buffet and the food was amazing as usual. Our server was Pearl and she did a fantastic job. She refilled our drinks as needed, and brought us a refill on our bread without having to ask for it. I thought it would be busier for a Saturday but there was no wait to be seated or to get our food. A great meal all around.

We really enjoyed our lunch here! We are in our fifties and were in town for a short vacation. The place was super clean and bright, including the restrooms. Our server, Jennifer was super in tune to what we needed, and she was engaging yet not bothersome. We ordered a Raspberry Honey Mustard Club sandwich with fries, sweet tea and a soda. Everything tasted wonderful and fresh, and the sandwich size was generous. The rolls which were brought out before our meal were warm and absolutely amazing, especially with the peanut butter and apple butter spreads provided on the table. Hope to be back in town someday to return here!

Came for the Booth Brothers Concert and dinner after. The concert was awesome, the pumpkin cream stick and coffee at the bakery were great before the matinee. The salad bar was amazing as usual. We had the best and nicest server, Deborah! The weather was perfect, too. Our whole group from Fellowship Baptist Church in Canton had a wonderful day

Dear Manager of Dutch Valley Restaurant
I’m writing to share my sincere appreciation for a truly phenomenal member of your wait staff, Tina.
From the moment we were seated, Tina carried the room with style, warmth, and a kind of attentive presence that cannot be trained into someone. It is either there or it isn’t. In this case, it absolutely was.
She anticipated needs before we voiced them, guided us through the menu with confidence and clarity, and struck that rare balance between professionalism and genuine human connection. The service felt seamless, almost orchestral, with each course arriving at just the right moment and every detail handled with care.
What stood out most was the way Tina made us feel. Not like another table. Not like another check. But like welcome guests.
In an industry where good service is appreciated and great service is remembered; Tina belongs firmly in the second category. She is not only an asset to your team, but a reflection of the standards your establishment upholds.
Please extend my gratitude to Tina. Experiences like this are the reason guests return and recommend with enthusiasm.
With appreciation,
Chris

After a delightful visit to the farm at Walnut Creek, my family and I had the pleasure of experiencing the next offerings the Amish have to provide which was food! Dutch Valley Restaurant in Sugarcreek, OH, this establishment is a relaxed, farmland pick for old-fashioned American meals, served à la carte or all-you-can-eat. It’s a place where you can truly gather your friends and family to shop, eat and relax in the quaint communities, and find some killer made-from-scratch meals, handcrafted gifts and plenty of honest-to-goodness fun.
While my family opted for the classic, old-school meals, I decided to explore the unexpected and see what the Amish could do with a burger. And let me tell you, the Amish can cook a burger! I ordered the Smokehouse Maple Bacon Burger, and it was an explosion of perfectly accented flavors. This masterpiece featured two grilled beef patties topped with pepper jack cheese, crispy onions, bacon, and a smoky maple bacon mustard. It was served with onion rings. Beyond the savory delights, Dutch Valley is also known for its good bakery, offering a variety of freshly baked goods that are a perfect complement to any meal or a treat to take home.

Food portions size is generous and the servers are pleasant. Food is fine but nothing outstanding.
Like going to an old cafeteria…lots of people eating at one time

The food was nothing too spectacular. The buffet didn’t have a lot of options and wasn’t worth the 20$ price. Drinks and dessert are not included. The service was good. The wait was long.

The food is usually very good, however we arrived an hour and 1/2 before closing and waited that long to get a table. It was getting close to closing time and my husband had chosen the buffet, but found only warmed over wings. This was a disappointment since he spent the same as anyone who arrived earlier and purchased the buffet. The rolls were delicious, and the green beans as well.
Our Server, Miss Deborah was top-notch…waiting on us with a smile, and she moved quickly, even after alreading serving for 7 hours.

If you want a GREAT Amish meal at a great price, then this place or any of the Dutchman Hospitality locations in Ohio or elsewhere is the place to go. We stop here whenever in the area, and always get the buffet, but anything on the menu is great. I prefer their baked chicken which falls off the bone and is always tasty and tender. And you don’t want to forget a piece of pie, all flavors which are to die for. My preference is the Peanut Butter pie, and my wife likes the Coconut Cream pie, but I can assure you any are great. Also consider if in the area to visit and see one of the great shows at the Star theater on the premises. First line entertainment at a reasonable price.
