For a road side find in the middle of nowhere, this place was surprisingly satisfying. The season fries are crisp, the burger has a decent patty and the lobster roll was pleasantly delicious with a generous scoop for the tiny bun it’s on. Overall, staff was friendly, service was quick, food was good.

Ice cream was 5 stars, especially the Dutch crispy – soft serve with rice crispies and a chocolate dip.

The food was fine, 3 stars, we tried everything in our big group – burger, lobster roll, clam burger, chicken sandwich.

Tented area to eat our food.

A great place to stop for a quick bite especially while out on the four wheeler. The trail is right across the street. A gas station next door. The food is good but the portions a bit small for the price. Especially when it comes to FF and fried greenbeans. These items are pretty cheap, especially when done in bulk. My husband and I both felt the portions were large enough for the cost charged. We would rather pay an extra dollar or two if thats what it takes to get a full portion size. You can judge for yourself. See photos.

A nice old fashioned road side diner and ice cream is great! Right off routes 2 and 4 easy to see and great service! Handicap friendly and a public restroom just around the back….eat inside, outside, or grab and go right in the heart of Wilton Maine USA!

Sweet, traditional roadside ice cream stop. Nice yard in the back with apple trees, swings, tent with tables. Try the Dutch Krispie as shown in picture – amazing!! A summer classic.

It’s a fun, memorable location. I like that it is atop a hill far from the busy freeway below—plenty of parking, outdoor/indoor seating, and a restroom out back. I wish I could say the same about the food. The fish in the fish and chips was bland and unremarkable, however, they had good tartar sauce. For the Dutch Krispie… well, let’s just say it was the milkiest-tasting soft serve I’ve ever had but not in a good way.

like a couple other reviews here… we wont be back. 45min to get a couple of tiny hamburgers out was a bit ridiculous, some people ordered after us got theirs before. seems like the place needs management. girl at the window had no idea what anything was on their own menu. I might stop for ice cream someday, that they seemed to be able to handle.

—-edit 8/2023…. i did in fact stop in for just ice cream and was not disappointed. the pups were also pleased, they have a nice big tent set up to get out of the rain…

I really enjoyed this place. It was really cute and had a small playground for little kids. There was a tent up over quite a few picnic tables creating plenty of dining area in the shade. The prices were okay too. The wait for our food was completely reasonable, and we were able to wait at our table under the tent because they call your order number out over a loud speaker. All the food we ordered was fried (but that was what we wanted that day anyway), and it was really good. They accidentally sold us an item that they didn’t have in stock, but it was super easy to switch to something else. The large milkshake I got was really good too!

Great time. I would definitely go again.

Old time beside the highway eatery. Great food and drinks. Harkens back to an old time when places had character and did not have to be a cookie cutter shell of a restaurant offering food so consistent it tastes the same in every country you eat in.

The Dutch Treat offers charm with its two-window system of ordering. Orders written out on paper. With pen no less!

Is it perfect? No. The washroom could use some updating given the number of people that come to it.

Well worth the stop.

Closed for the season as of September 4, 2024.

Wish there were more Dutch Treats in the world.
