The staff was friendly. We didn’t have to wait very long to be seated and the kitchen got the food out quickly.
The food- – country fried steak was ok. The gravy was under-seasoned. The mashed potatoes were average. The green beans were not good.

The pies were fantastic!!

Good prices, everything was quite affordable.

This dining experience was quite disappointing all the way around.
The majority of our food was cold. My chicken fried chicken was hot, but burnt. The brown gravy (on the side, thankfully) was bland.
The dinner salad was as if out of a grocery store pre-mix bag.
The dinner rolls were very dry and stale tasting, with dark tops and bottoms.
My husband got the special (jalapeno pork chop) and it tasted like a normal chop, not spicy, and unremarkable. The peanut butter pie was delicious, despite its mushy crust, and was the best part of the meal.
I had high expectations for fresh home-made dinner rolls and food and instead was sad we spent our money. Also, we left reeking of fried food.
The carpet was filthy.
The waitress asked how the food was but seemed more offended than concerned, and we had only mentioned the rolls at that point.
The gift shop was darling.
We don’t plan to return.

Small gift shop in waiting area. Wholesome environment. Clean, well maintained restaurant. Service was great! Food, not so much. We ordered roast beef and it was more like pot roast. Technically it was roast beef but still disappointing. Also, chicken fried steak was moist (gravy was served on the side). Should have some crunch to the breading. Side were just OK, except for the fries. They were good. Did not partake in the salad bar but it looked OK but not interesting to me. Overall, a nice restaurant with a unique feel to it. Pleasant experience. Almost forgot, Pies were excellent! Had Lemom Meringue and Sour Cream Raisin. I’d go for the pies again!

Quaint place. Quiet. Good service and the food was on the table before we could finish the salad. Loved the large portions.

Nice little place for comfort food. The service was great. Tried one of their pies and was really good. The background music reminded me of the Beverley Hillbillies type music kind of fitting for this particular Ma & Pa place, but still….

Once upon a time I used to love this place. I ate here for decades and then there was a day when all the happiness stopped. Around 2012 the service at Dutch Kitchen took a dive and the quality of food did as well. I have never forgotten the mashed potatoes that reaked havoc on my G.I. system. I was ill for several days with severe diarrhea and vomiting. I called the Dutch Kitchen and they denied that their food did this to me. That was the worst, no apology, no accountability, just denial. To this day that was the worst diarrhea I have ever had. When I think of the Dutch Kitchen I think of those potatoes and more importantly I think of painful diarrhea that just doesn’t stop. This illness lasted for several days, but the trauma will last a lifetime. The Dutch Kitchen equals diarrhea.

Made from scratch delicious food! Amish restaurant where everyone is very welcoming and so happy to serve big, hot cinnamon buns! We had ours as an appetizer and our waitress offered something new… to put butter on top!
The restaurant is large, with booths and tables. Healthy options and everything we had was fresh. Accessible ♿️ with lots of room for maneuverability. Portions are generous. Huge drinks. Lots of locals stoping by to meet up or a meal.
Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms.

This is a diamond in the middle of nowhere. The food was excellent and the service was just extraordinary. The deserts are fantastic as well. Anyone and everyone who wants a good meal should eat here.

It’s been 2 years since last coming here due to COVID. Back then, I was pleasantly surprised about their food and overall service. When we came back for my birthday, it was just as great as it was last time:. The friendly staff, the taste of the food, and the atmosphere. Anyone who likes “From-Scratch” restaurants should give this place a try, whether it be for their food or at the very least, their adorable gift shop.
