You know…going into a place like this, you expect to get some really good, homemade food and a country environment. Instead, our food looked and tasted like food out of a box… the buffet is $18.99 per person and it was a glorified salad bar with 3 soups to choose from 1 or 2 meats, and some sides. The desserts weren’t horrible but definitely didn’t taste homemade. As far as where you eat, it looks like a glorified school cafeteria, with no music and no decor. This was my first time there and definitely my last. The only thing good there was our waitress, Sydney. She was on top of making sure our drinks were full, we had everything we needed, and was very nice and polite. I really hope this place upgrades their quality of food…… for $18.99, ill take my money else where.

I thought this place was gonna be full blown AMISH. But for what it turned out to be, it was a place to eat, hot food and great service. We ended up trying the lunch buffet. It had a nice variety of options with a great salad and soup bar. We got our fill and a few goodies from the bakery up front. The staff is super welcoming and courteous.
The dinning room is large enough to accommodate any size party. Its very clean and spacious.

It’s a very nice restaurant atmosphere was great service was wonderful. Food not so great. I was really surprised that they use instant mashed potatoes and there is a way to doctor them up, but it just taste like they just put water in instant mashed potatoes. The chicken was OK we got the broasted The coating really had no flavor. The bread was good a little pricey compared to the other Amish restaurants. I did get a tossed salad as a side. It was very crisp and fresh. The waitress was wonderful. She was very busy look like she was working all by herself. We probably won’t be back. Maybe it’s because I’m trying to compare it to Mrs. Yoders. But it could be better just a little more effort in the mashed potatoes and season the chicken more.

Stopped in to try out the bakery. It’s really good. I had a Bavarian filled creme stick and a blackberry fry pie
The creme stick was light, fluffy, and was just delicious. Really liked how light the icing was.
The fry pie was the best though. First off, they are huge. They are at least twice the size of any other fry pie I’ve had. The filling is really good and the crust was flaky, but didn’t fall apart when eating it.
The bakery isn’t huge. But what they have is really tasty. Highly recommend stopping in to treat yourself sometime.

Sign on the door said they’d sold so that should have made me go somewhere else. I don’t get to Amish country often so I’m pretty disappointed with my decision. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Just not the Amish food I was hoping for. Salad bar was fine. Mashed potatoes and noodles lacked flavor. Beef gravy tasted like from a jar. And I was told they were out of butter for my bread – really!? Disappointed…

I was there around noon and chose the buffet. The best part of the buffet was the salad bar. All items that I tried were very good. But the actual foods like chicken mashed potatoes corn, we’re not. I had to spit out my bite of chicken, i just couldn’t swallow it. Tough. The potatoes and the noodles tasted off. The coffee had grounds in it and was not good taste. I was very disappointed

Great food. Salad bar items cold and crisp. Lots of choices and all my favorites. Pickled beets, chopped eggs, pickled eggs, etc. great potato salad and Mac salad. Delicious fried chicken. Pies on the dessert table were fabulous and the cookies. Yumm. Glad we stopped. Service was friendly and great coffee too.

We’ve visited Dutch Kitchen for many years. They have a salad bar and a buffet, along with a menu. Nice variety of food. In addition, they have a gift shoppe, and a banquet hall. Its conveniently located on Route 30 in Dalton, Ohio. A few years ago, I signed up for their birthday club. Every year, they send me a Birthday Certificate valued at $10. I chose the buffet.
