Their drinks were pretty good, too, even though they were a little small.
Their prices are “downtown” prices, if you know what I mean.
I would go back for sure!
The right way to enjoy this place is to go for havles: ½ pound brisket, ½ pound pork and ½ rack of ribs. You’ll thank me later. The brisket is undeniably tender, the pork juicy and the ribs flavorful. I’m hesitant but I dare say, this is the most exciting barbecue in New England right now.
I love the atmosphere, the server was friendly, and the flavors were decent, but somehow everything was just dry. We ordered a brisket, ribs, pulled pork sandwich, and the meatloaf sandwich. The brisket was most expensive and disappointing, it was very dry even though it had a good amount of fat to meat ratio, the texture was unfortunately like that of drained canned tuna. The ribs were passable but still dry, the flavors were good however. Pulled pork sandwich was also on the dry side even with the sauce. The stand out ended up being the meatloaf sandwich, it was flavourful and was the only one that was not dry. Was really hoping to like it since it came highly recommended by a friend, but unfortunately our experience was not as expected.
Our party was seated. We were able to chat. There were two tvs playing sports (30 30 and one with a game review on). Lots of water is available. We had a glass pitcher available. The silverware is in a metal container. I ordered 1/4 brisket for $12 which came with homemade pickles and a potato roll, I added a side of Mac and cheese for $4. Everything was very nice. Their house BBQ sauce was nice and mild. The pickles also had pickled onions served with them. (A). The brisket had a great smokey flavor.
My friend had a Dr. Pepper. The entree was pulled pork with an added side of French fries (Their rating was a B+).
This was definitely a nice BBQ joint.
We got a half tray of nachos, one corn dog, ribs and mac and cheese. The nachos were very tasty and worth to try. While the corn dog and the mac and cheese were also very tasty, you could taste that this was a pre-made meal you buy from the market and you heat up. But the biggest disappointment was the ribs. I was not expecting ribs like the ones in Texas, but this was even hard to chew. Just look at the picture I took and you can understand that this was either overcooked or cooked days in advance.
On top of that, the toilets were very sticky ( like you are on a club or something ) and the place was not busy so I am sure someone could easily clean them in no time.
Honestly not a great experience.
Walked in to the middle of Saturday night service and saw max 10-12 people sitting…. Should have seen that as a warning ⛔️
FYI, all wine selections come in cans…micro beer choices are okay at best. Also, this place has a heavy selection of whiskeys, but what if you just want a cold Narragansett with a meal?
Ordered a sangria….got what tasted like a sweet whiskey punch
Wanted to try a little bit of everything since it was my first time there….
The food was somewhat disappointing at best …..
Wings were overcooked/ charred/ no flavor.
Brisket Chili was probably the best thing ordered
Meatloaf Sandwich tasted just like a burger
The Pork Ribs had a great smoke ring and although cooked perfectly, lacked any flavor.
The Beans and Mac n Cheese also were both plain and had little to no flavor.
I guess I just expected more…..
Very little value for the cost.
Kept thinking of where else to go tonight and leaving as quickly as possible.
Not recommended for several reasons.
Plenty of other great places to eat BBQ in Providence…..those 10 patrons on a Saturday night spoke volumes to me without uttering a single word.
