We go to DBG every Friday because it is fun like HiWire but not as insane. It may become crazy like that tho if you, like me, wanted something awesome like that but more chill. The people are so nice, the music is so fun, and the food is solid. Def check them out – the lack of parking is worth it. Photos are of my son’s birthday on their deck:)

Nice space with large outdoor areas. Bar staff is great. Good beer selection. Two things hold it back. The food truck prices have gotten completely out of hand. A plain cheeseburger with no sides, no frills is running $16 to $18. From a truck. That’s hard to justify no matter how you slice it. Music is pretty awful. It’s that overly safe “a little of everything” playlist that ends up being the worst of everything, the sonic equivalent of trying not to offend anyone and landing nowhere. Lean into a vibe and make it part of your identity.

Awesome beer and drink selection at very reasonable prices. Chill vibe inside and out. There are heaters and a fire pit if it’s cold.
The dedicated food truck is excellent. Pub grub and Asian offerings offer a nice if eclectic variety of choices.
Staff and owners couldn’t be nicer. Service is always top notch.

Love this place! The space itself is nicely decorated and there are multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas that you can choose from (some are livelier than others at certain times of the day/depending on the day, but you can always find a comfortable place to hang). There’s always a good amount of seating and I appreciate that you never feel rushed to leave. The food is good and there are always good specials running on different days. We love the $10 burger specials on Wednesday. There are plenty of drink options- full bar, nonalcoholic beer, and even sodas and things for kids. The owners and staff are always super friendly and helpful, and they are dog friendly. Overall so glad to have a place like this in our community!

Superb atmosphere in a little maze of outdoor and indoor seating. The Wiley Fosters, an eclectic jazz band was playing as we loved the mix between pop music from the past few decades with electric and live instruments, including an Indian tabla. The outdoor space was also nice and heated with lamps, and it was nice to share tables with others. The beers were fine, a bit expensive up to $10-12 for a pint. The food truck was ok, fried pickles too salty and the veggie dumplings quite tasteless and small for $10-12.

Cool space overall. It was raining so I couldn’t really enjoy the “Garden” aspect. Very good beer selection, good variety, including in packaging. Helpful and fast service. I really enjoyed my Hugo Spritz, too.

Such a fun place with such fun vibes – and tons of open, interesting space! The cocktails here are excellent too, I had a wonderful summery Manhattan and margarita. There are SO many spaces here to hang out, indoor and out. It’s just a fun afternoon and evening beer palace, and I am so glad we have a new addition to the already world-class Durham beer and cocktail scene.

I LOVE this place. They are newish- I think not quite a year in business. The owners and staff and very friendly and knowledgeable- and you may be lucky enough to see their bar dog, Oliver. The back patio is spacious and comfy, and the food truck is incredible. My favorites are the barbecue bao buns and soup dumplings.

Durham Beer Garden is the best addition to Durham in a long time. It’s so much bigger than it looks with a nice deck outback and shaded tables along the side.
The service is always fast and friendly. It is clearly a labor of love for the owners. The beer selection in the cases is varied. The food is a combination of classic bar food and Asian items. Everything is delicious.
Love this place. 10/10.
