We are not a chain! Durango’s Tavern & Grill became a locally owned and operated restaurant in 2011, and proudly reopened in it’s brand new digs in June of 2019. Enjoy family friendly dining in our 1800’s train station themed surroundings with a “modern twist”, of course! We feature USDA top choice cuts of beef all cooked over our famous open oak fired grill. Our menu offers a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Enjoy your favorite sports in our beautiful bar or bring the family pet and watch the sunset on our outdoor patio. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Hope to see and serve you soon!

Wait time was about 30 to 45 minutes. Yes they were busy and we were a 10-party group. From the time we ordered until the time we received our food 30-45 minutes.
Ordered The New York strip 10 oz, medium. Got it rare to mid rare. Fries were cold. Sauteed onions were not sauteed. Did not wish to return the food, as by this time; I was starving and did not want to wait another 30 minutes for a refire. Food was not worth the price I paid for it!
Charged an 18% gratuity, which for my total was a about 50 cent short on their calculations. I did not provide an additional tip only because if the company’s going to force us to tip; I will not add anything to it. I usually tip between 20 and 25%. So the server got shafted!
Bathroom had a nice decor but, was not thoroughly cleaned as well as the rusted shelf that the paper towel dispenser sat on. While in the bathroom a male employee was talking very badly about the front of the house manager; Angie to his girlfriend. Inappropriate for the staff to be in the bathroom complaining about management where guests can overhear. I spoke to Angie and let her know about these issues. I still have not heard back from Durango’s.
I guess the best way to get any kind of response is to; get in touch with the BBB and the health department!
STAY AWAY, UNTIL THEY MAKE CHANGES!!!
The Atmosphere & Service
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming and professional. What really stood out, though, was the wait staff. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they do. The server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing—the kind of service where your water glass never hits empty and the pacing of the meal feels just right.
The Food: A True Scratch Kitchen
It is becoming harder to find places that don’t rely on “bag-to-fryer” shortcuts, but Durango is clearly running a serious scratch kitchen. You can taste the quality in every layer of the meal.
* The Fish: I ordered the fish, and it was the highlight of the night. It was perfectly flaky, seasoned with restraint to let the natural flavor shine, and tasted incredibly fresh. The crab stuffing was a perfect compliment.
* The Ingredients: You can tell the sauces, sides, and even the butter for the sweet potato are made in-house. Everything had that bright, vibrant pop that only comes from high-quality, fresh ingredients.
The Wine List
A pleasant surprise was the wine selection. Often in grills like this, the wine list is an afterthought, but the French wine I ordered was actually delicious. It was well-structured, paired beautifully with the seafood, and showed that they’ve put real thought into their cellar.
Bottom Line: Whether you’re a local or just passing through for a rocket launch, Durango Tavern & Grill is a must-visit. Great people, fresh food, and a fantastic glass of wine. I’ll definitely be back!
We ordered three appetizers for dinner, and my son ordered a simple chicken entrée. About 40 minutes passed with no food. I asked the manager (male, white hair and glasses) for an update, and he said he spoke with the chef and that our food would be right out. Unfortunately, the only effort to improve the situation was refilling our water glasses. There was no apology, explanation, or offer to adjust the bill.
Another 10 minutes passed with still no food, so we decided to leave. I waited tables for years, and if a simple order like this took more than 20 minutes, I would have been proactively checking on it. It was disappointing that no one identified or addressed the delay before we had to ask. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Zero stars if i could.
