I do not leave reviews often, if at all. However, my last and final experience at Durango Joe’s in Aztec has left me wishing there was a negative star option. I have witnessed this location go from one my favorite morning stops to never going again. I pulled up and the employee and one car in front of me continued to conversate, which is fine but for 2 minutes is a bit extreme in a morning rush. I pull up and the employee is obviously annoyed. I place my order, London fog with lavender and honey. She proceeded to ask how many scoops and pumps of flavor. I was lost because I’ve never been asked, which she replied “we are charging and should have been charging for the extra”! Are you kidding me. We pay quite a bit for your drinks that are poorly made, hot drinks are served without a sleeve (I have to ask Everytime) and very sticky cups. They never get my order right when I say no to something (example of whip cream no matter how many times I say no they put it on). And now Durango Joe’s wants to charge for extra flavor!! The employee informed me they are out of London fog (oh just the tea) I tell her to try it with black tea. I get to work and low and behold I have a large cup of black tea!! No cream, no lavender, no honey. In the end Durango Joe’s step it up. You may not have competition in Aztec but I’ll gladly make the drive to Farmington to get better service and the drink I ordered.

Aztec Durango Joes is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is well-made. Prices are similar to most cafés for their specialty drinks, but a 12 oz latte (the smallest size, seen in the picture) was $2.15 before tax

I just left the Aztec location and the manager (Ariel) was EXTREMELY rude. I asked her about her monthly specials and she seemed bothered by the question. Without even
making eye contact with me, she just waved to the menu and said “they’re over there”. I didn’t want the special so I asked her what was sweet on the menu. She replied, “oh they’re all sweet, just pick something”. I was floored! We immediately left and I will absolutely NEVER go back.

Way too slow. I’ve waited in line with only a couple of cars ahead of me for over ten minutes. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Many times the drinks have been made incorrectly and I am not even able to drink. This location really makes Durango Joes look unprofessional. It’s a shame because I have been to other locations that have been outstanding. Really hope they get it together.

Stopped here on a roadtrip and was incredibly satisfied with the experience. We had a relatively big order and the staff was quick, efficient, and made sure to get it exactly right. In addition, the coffee was perfect. Definitely would stop again.

Went there yesterday for the first time and never again. It started off with me telling the lady I have never been there and she was no help to help me figure out what I would like. Then to top it off the two drinks I did order cam to over 18 bucks. And on the sign it was 6.70 a cup. So when I asked her why is it so high she was very rude and short with the explanation just kept saying it was the tax. So I asked for the receipt and it was not tax, they charged extra for milk and it’s 1.00 for the little shot of milk plus over 1.00 for the almond milk shot. She did not explain that it was a charge to put milk in the frappe drinks just asked would I like it with milk, almond milk or coconut milk. I will never go back. I would so rather pay the 13/ 15 bucks at Starbucks for the same drinks. We didn’t even finish our drinks as they were not that good.
