The service was, quite frankly, impeccable. Every staff member we encountered had a genuine smile and a level of attentiveness that made the entire Valentine’s evening feel comfortable and upbeat. Victoria our waitress always came to check on us and made sure we are doing well.
We opted for the Valentine’s Prix Fixe Menu, which offered a choice of two starters, two entrées, and two desserts. Most of the dishes were vibrant and delicious—a modern, refreshing take on Mexican roots that truly surprised us.
However, I have to be firm on one major point: the “12 oz Ribeye” meant for two. As someone who knows a good cut, this was not a steak. It was paper-thin—more like a slice of beef brisket you’d find at a casual diner than a premium ribeye. I seriously doubt it hit the 12 oz mark, and for a Valentine’s centerpiece, it was a bit of a letdown in terms of substance, even if the flavor was excellent.
A word to the wise: The parking situation is a hurdle. The lot right outside is entirely claimed by valet. If you don’t want to use it, you’ll be hunting for a spot in the residential blocks down the street. It’s a bit of an inconvenience for a romantic night out.
Despite the “paper-thin” steak and the parking puzzle, we had a very enjoyable evening. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend checking it out for the inventive flavors and the stellar atmosphere.
Pros: * Trendy, beautiful atmosphere
• Friendly, attentive staff
• Creative and delicious modern Mexican cuisine
Cons: * Inconvenient parking (unless using valet)
• “Steak” portion was underwhelmingly thin
If I were you, I’d go there when I want to treat myself or meet friends for something more special. If you want cheaper eats or a quick bite, maybe another place would do.
Ambience was okay and the food presentation looked decent, but that’s where the positives end. The dishes tasted terrible — honestly like something you’d pick up pre-made from Northgate or Vallarta. To make it worse, the food came out cold, which is unacceptable at the prices they’re charging.
Overall, it was a huge disappointment. Not recommended. Avoid!
Tlayudas was bomb! A traditional Mexican dish that didn’t disappoint! Crunchy tortillas topped with beans, cheese, and savory meats.
Dry-aged ribeye cooked to perfection, served with guajillo potato purée, roasted vegetables, and chipotle demi-glace.
Fresh and delicious, blended with grilled onion, cilantro, and serrano, served with crispy house-made tostadas.
Drinks were good!
From classic margaritas and palomas to unique creations featuring mezcal and sotol, every sip is a delight.
Enjoy stunning views of Rancho Cucamonga and the surrounding mountains while savoring your meal or drinks.
Cozy up by the fire pits or relax in the serpentine seating areas with a drink in hand.
Our server was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
The rooftop service was fantastic! Sadly, the restaurant service was a bit slow, and it took a while to get our drinks and food. I’m guessing the delay was due to an unexpectedly large group of people on a Wednesday night, and only having two servers for the restaurant.
Both the food and cocktails were delicious. I’ll be back
