I had the lunch special, 2 meat 2 sides; brisket, 3 ribs, beans, and fries. Brisket melts in your mouth. Ribs were savory and juicy. Great atmosphere, staff were friendly. BBQ sauce had a sweet and smoky apple flavor. Beans and fries were great too. Thank you!

We ordered the 2 meat platter (turkey and brisket) and the chopped brisket sandwich. The turkey was juicy and delicious. The brisket was equally as good with little fat. The brisket sandwich was outstanding. Finely chopped and well seasoned. The woman who took our order was friendly. 5 stars all around and worth the visit.

The BEST BBQ I’ve ever had. Wonderful customer service and amazing people. We live about 5 minutes away from this gem and the banana pudding we ordered did not make it home. It did not last 3 minutes in the car. My recommendation, get the banana pudding. You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be regulars!

Dunn Deal BBQ is hands down the best barbecue spot in town. I’ve tried many of the most well-known BBQ places around the area, and no matter where I go, I always find myself coming back to Dunn Deal—it simply sets the standard.

The food is consistently outstanding: perfectly smoked meats, rich and balanced flavors, and generous portions that never disappoint. Every bite reminds you why this place stands out from the rest.
The service deserves just as much praise—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You’re not treated like just another customer; you’re treated like family. On top of all that, the prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity you receive.

Deep smoky flavor in the meat and delicious sides. The baked beans were unique with four different types of beans and not the traditional sweet flavor. The seasoning on the fries was spot on. The staff was friendly and took pride in their food offerings. Many places to sit outside and they had live music when we were there on a Saturday at lunch time.

I tried this BBQ place because it’s local in my neighborhood and I want to support small businesses. I purchased the 1 meat/2 sides special, I got the brisket, baked beans, and fries. The brisket was really good and it’s something that I’ll definitely get again. It had a nice smoked flavor and was very tender, which let me know it was prepared. The fries were cooked and season well, now the baked beans were a little different for me. The beans are one area where you’d have to try for yourself, the flavor was good but I wasn’t an overall fan of them. Again, please try them for yourself, I’m not a beans person so don’t take my word for it. The ambiance was nice and most importantly the service was great! I walked in, saw people enjoying great conversations and I was welcomed with a smile. For me, customer service goes a long way. This place is only open a few days a week but I HIGHLY recommend it. I look forward to going back and trying other things.

My dad and I like going around and trying new bbq places. This was hands down the best bbq I’ve found in the area. We ordered the lunch special which was a brisket sandwich and a side. The sandwich was loaded with meat and had great flavor. Gerald came out from the kitchen to talk to us and even hooked us both up with a free rib so we could try it.
This place knows how to take care of their people. Can’t recommend enough, I know we will be back for sure.

This is some incredibly SOLID BBQ!! We stopped here for a quick lunch while driving through down to Neosho and to say we were impressed is an understatement!! We got the two platter plate with the brisket and the chicken and omg everything was mouth drooling delicious. The brisket was fall apart with the perfect fat marbling. The portions are also incredibly generous! It was so solid that my fiance then went back in and grabbed a turkey tray to go for later! As if the food wasn’t good enough, the lady running the front desk was so wonderful! She was so sweet and attentive and even opened up our box to show us everything before we left. 10/10 would recommend!

This was my first experience with Dunn Deal BBQ. I will definitely be back. I tried the brisket with beans and slaw, all I can say is WOW. It is so good, the brisket just melts in the mouth. Definitely give them a try, you won’t regret anything about the experience. The food is awesome and the people there are so friendly and nice.

I think it takes a lot of guts to open a BBQ restaurant in Kansas City. Gerald Dunn is making a name for himself one plate at a time! Dunn deal BBQ is only open 2 days a week and you will want to get an early start because he opens the doors at 11 AM Friday and Saturday only and closes at 4 or when he sells out! A small unassuming shop with no tables , carry out only. The blue ribbons are proudly displayed right inside the door and I’m certain Gerald earned them all by creating a superior product. I loved the thick sliced brisket that needed no sauce. Very moist and flavorful. The BBQ sauce is thin and more like a wash or marinade, different than a traditional KC sauce but I liked it and as I stated no sauce is needed for this moist and flavorful beef. I wasn’t impressed with the baked beans, nothing wrong with them just not my style. Gerald suggested I try the banana pudding and it was great! Thanks for the recommendation. Easy to find right on main Street with ample parking. Although this was my first visit Gerald made me feel like a regular and I am sure to return soon. Put this one on your list!!
