On 1/10 during the early morning approx 6:15am, I requested various snacks for my daughter and I that included bagels, hash browns, and bacon. In addition, I ordered 2 large strawberry dragonfruit refreshers with light ice.
Now, initially I hadn’t visited this particular location in over 1 year although it’s close to my job since on this day the gentleman informed me that management has directed them to short fill drinks for customers who request no ice.
Unlike Starbucks and other competitors, typically I’m just charged an additional $0.50 -$1.00 for no ice and my cup is still filled to the top! Not here, they will charge you additional cost AND short fill your drink order.
Fast forward to my most recent visit 4 days ago. I decided to give them another shot since my daughter really wanted Dunkin. For this order, right away I requested “light ice” to avoid the conflict I had with them a year ago by not asking for no ice.
This time around, the young lady in the drive thru stated now management has instructed staff to also short fill drinks for customers who request “light ice” as well!!!
So not only will you be charged additional (which is not a problem), but your drink will still be short filled! I was so upset and even explained previously that this rule applied for only “no ice” requested. Apparently, management is nickel and dimming all customers on drinks at this location on orders with customization to ice.
I clearly understand that inflation contributes to this, but filling the cups half way PLUS charging for less or no ice is fraudulent at that point!
Last to mentioned, the women explaining these changes was rude and with an attitude as if she was tired of explaining the same thing over and over to many customers.
My order total was close to about $30 bucks and I decided to cancel everything due to my experience! This for sure will be my last time visiting, and I do plan to report this location to BACP, and the consumer fraud unit for this county.
I drove a little while distant to a different location not too far and was given my order right away, just how I like it, and without any questions asked!!!!
I even found a late article about customers complaining about this that included a photo of drink request are now handle. Sadly to say, refreshers was not on the list to short fill for “less ice request!”
I’m optimistic that rules may apply for different franchises, but none of which were explained to me were posted, or shown, or made visible for consumers to see before placing any orders. Therefore, it’s difficult to say if the real intent was for some other motive such as discrimination, racial ethnicity, or stereotyped.
But for whatever reason this happened to me, I encourage every Dunkin lover to skip this one next to Andy’s Ice cream and find another location! If you don’t, you’ll end up paying full price for a drink 1/2 filled which is even less of a drink if less ice is still added PLUS additional cost. Just ridiculous and not right!
The girl Angela that is here tries to make her own rules and tries to speak for everyone in the store.I would love to speak to another manager to get further clarification, because I come through the drive. Through everyday and I bring up the same order all the time. And no one could tell me that if they put a promo on the receipt, I can’t make 2 separate orders at the drive through that is ridiculous. I’ve worked a Dunkin for 10 years. And I’ve never seen an attitude on someone like this lady. Honestly, she needs to. Reality, check and in a demotion for her attitude in trying to problem solve.I just told her reference. Please do this for me.She hit me with an attitude right away. She will be hearing from me again.Because I would love to contact the person that owns this store.Thank you very much.
Forget about this store I will go some where else
I also remember before covid people told to leave by manager for staying in dining area for more than 15 minutes.
Krispy kreme lattes are great too. Dunkin is my last option after Tim hortons or Krispy Kreme
