The drink was wrong in other ways, as well. I ordered an iced latte, and was handed an iced black coffee. I also believe that I did not receive as many flavor shots as I was charged for.
When I asked for some milk to be added to the drink, I asked for whole milk, and the employee seemed to have a hard time understanding me. I said “whole” multiple times, and he presented me with almond milk and oat milk before I clarified by saying “regular milk.” I understand that “whole” can be a hard word to recognize for a person whose first language is Spanish or something similar, but I feel that “whole milk” is an important enough phrase that employees who have trouble recognizing the word should be given extra opportunities to practice doing so.
On top of all this, it was uncomfortably hot inside this Dunkin. The afternoon sun was shining right through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the AC must not have been working right. PLEASE get some blinds in order to make the room bearable in the afternoon.
Overall, the employees weren’t rude or anything, they just seemed pretty out-of-it. It seems like they needed to be trained better. And it certainly wouldn’t hurt their performance if their workplace got some blinds so their energy isn’t sapped by the heat.
