Reviews
Additionally, the foam on my cappuccino was unusual and concerning, unlike anything I have experienced before, and I strongly suspect it may have been soap. To make matters worse, my son’s bagel was so stale it was inedible.
Definitely won’t be returning to this location.
The management is very unprofessional and the place is incredibly cheap with their portions. It seems like they take advantage of the morning rush, assuming people are too busy to complain. This isn’t the first time, but it’s definitely the last. Save your money and go somewhere else
They didn’t bother calling my number stating that the coffee was ready they just dumped it on the pickup counter among others (and disappeared) and we each just had to look through the labels on the cups to see which ones ours.. perhaps they need more baristas ♀️
However Crossiant egg and cheese was okay. This made my morning very bad ..
I go in this route frequently and some other day, I stopped here again for a coffee. This time it is good. Infact I loved it
I am happy that reviews work and maybe it can be that one day in the past my coffee wasn’t good. So cannot gueds whats the reason.
But seriously the almost constant chemical taste in everything concerns me. Next time I’m in a hurry I’ll just forgo coffee. It’s not worth it.

What Works Well
Friendly Staff & Good Service
Many patrons mention that the employees are welcoming and do their best to make the visit pleasant. At the 114 Maple Ave location, for example, long‑time customers say the staff are “very friendly” and helpful.
Convenient & Clean
The locations have been remodeled or updated in many cases, which adds to the comfort. The interior looks nice, and overall cleanliness and organization tend to get favorable remarks.
Quality of Coffee & Familiar Menu
Regular customers say they keep coming back because the coffee is solid, and the usual Dunkin’ menu items (donuts, breakfast sandwiches, etc.) are consistent. If you know what to expect from Dunkin’, you’ll get it.

What Could Be Better
Speed / Wait Time Issues
At some locations (like the one on Hamilton Blvd), people report that orders, even simple items like hash browns, can take longer than expected. Sometimes the drive‑thru or order service feels slow.
Staff Attitude Is Mixed
While many staff are praised, there are a few comments from customers who felt discouraged by less friendly or less patient interactions, depending on the shift or time of day. For instance, one review at Maple Ave specifically called out an individual for being rude.
Crowds & Peak Times
Because it’s a go‑to for many locals, the shop tends to be very busy during morning rush hours. That sometimes leads to longer lines and slower service.

My Thoughts & Tips
If you plan to visit one of the Dunkin’s in South Plainfield, here’s how to get the best experience:
Go during off‑peak hours if you can (mid‑morning after the main rush, mid‑afternoon) to avoid long waits.
Use the Dunkin’ app ahead of time to place orders — it might speed things up.
Be patient if they’re using newer or recently remodeled locations; sometimes staff are still adjusting to new workflows.
If you have a friendly regular or barista you like, that helps — good service seems to depend somewhat on the individual crew.
