This is a great little restaurant off the road. There’s plenty of parking. The service was great. We had 10 people, and our server was perfect and efficient. The food was excellent, and the portions are big. The 50’s burger is about a half pound of beef. The hamburger steak was popular with our group. They also served homemade rolls. Amazing.

We were in TN and took my mother-in-law here for her 90th birthday lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had a party of 7. They were not very busy and we were seated right away. I believe we had reservations- because we had a larger party we wanted to be sure we didn’t have to wait long with her.
I ordered the crispy apple grilled chicken salad. The apple slices are dehydrated which brings out their flavor. It was good. My husband had a burger. He was not impressed.
We had read about their rolls and strawberry butter so we ordered some. Let me tell you YOU MUST GET THEM when you go. I had never had strawberry butter before. I’m convinced I need it in my life every day!!
Lastly, we had ordered a whole strawberry cake (the reviews said it was a must try) and it did not disappoint!! I had never had such a moist cake, or strawberry in flavor, now it is my absolute favorite kind of cake! I only wish I lived in Tennessee so I could go here often.
When they brought out the cake we started singing happy birthday and everyone on that side of diner joined in which made it super special for my mother-in-law.
So if you were there on April 26th around 1pm – thank you for helping us make her feel super special!
We will definitely go back every time we go visit TN!!!

Dumplin’s has some delicious menu choices. The atmosphere and service is sub-par so nothing special. If you want somewhere that is not a chain restaurant and has good food then I highly recommend. I think the service could have been better especially since it was very few patrons.

Such a cute little place! I got the trio salad! The tuna salad was my fave of the three (tuna, pimento, and chicken salad). I was a little disappointed they didn’t have club crackers and only saltines. My husband got the hamburger steak! He said it was good, macaroni was a little bland but otherwise good!!! The homemade rolls and butter were AMAZING! The homemade fruit tea was great as well!!! Service was spectacular!! We also got a slice of double chocolate cake for ththe road!

Awesome place any time of the day. My choices were the Chicken & Dumplins, almond Chicken and partner got the Bacon Quiche Followed that with chocolate and coconut cake slices. Great service by Sunny. I put this on my list of ‘must return to’ food spots. Great alternative to fast food.

A little centerpiece gem in the shopping center with fantastic food and service. Our server, Taylor who you must see when you visit, recommended the chicken bacon ranch wrap which was delish. Great combination of flavors with nothing too overpowering. And the french fries are fantastic. They’re basically french fries in the shape of spiraled potato chips, but they’re not curly fries. I’m not kidding when I say they were some of the best french fries I’ve ever had.
My wife ordered a goat cheese salad and Taylor realized that the way the goat cheese was prepared would have compromised my wife’s dietary restriction. So she came out. Let us know and suggested just to do plain old goat cheese which is exactly what we thought we were going to get anyway. So everything worked out fantastic. We added a unseasoned grilled chicken breast so we could cut up and give to the dog which she devoured. She’s been stressed and not eating since she doesn’t really like to travel.
They are a must stop if you’re in Jackson.
