Best dumplings in the DMV! I’ve been buying dumplings here for the last decade and they’re the best in this area (including the various dumpling shops in Rockville) because the skin has the perfect chewyness, the filling is nicely cooked, well seasoned, generously filled, my orders are always timely and well packaged, and the price has stayed roughly the same (maybe up by $1 at most). Highly recommend

They’ve the best dumplings in town. I tried the fish dumplings for the first time and they were delicious just as other stuffings. The hot pot was a must especially in cold weather. The cucumber salad and rice balls were just okay.
The staff were attentive and efficient. Reservations are not necessary. The restaurant was not crowded on a Saturday noon.

Dumplings and Beyond is a fantastic spot! The food is absolutely delicious, with some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had—flavorful fillings and perfectly cooked.
The restaurant itself is a humble, unassuming place, which adds to its charm. It’s cozy, and the focus is clearly on serving amazing food.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic dumplings this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for consistently delicious Asian food in DC, Dumplings and Beyond is the place. Their dumplings are perfectly made—soft, flavorful, and packed with filling that keeps us coming back. The orange chicken is crispy with just the right balance of sweet and tangy, while the kung pao chicken delivers that satisfying kick of spice. The broccoli beef is tender, savory, and always fresh.
This is the only Asian restaurant we order from because every dish is reliably excellent. Dumplings and Beyond has earned our loyalty with food that never disappoints.

Quick, delicious, masterful.
Perhaps the greatest Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Best fried rice I’ve had far and away. Service faster than light, food perfectly warm. Always ready to fill your water. Just amazing food. Spectacular culinary experience.

The dumplings were really good. Everything else was very “mid” to poor, especially on the lunch menu. The shrimp fried rice was way too salty, egg drop soup had no salt, beef and broccoli tasted like it wasn’t cooked enough, and the general tso chicken had so much breading on it. I would definitely go for the dumplings again but reminder not to order anything else!

Yeah I’m so sorry but no. $88 dollars for the average takeout for two. The crispy beef was so difficult to eat because the base of it was honey. When we tried to eat it, there was so much honey it all stuck together like a clump. The forget some of the order. The rest of the food was okay. Much better options in DC. and def maybe some cheaper ones too.

Nice atmosphere inside. I came here for the dumplings and they didn’t disappoint. I’ve been to restaurants where I swear they are serving factory made dumplings we can all get in the frozen food section. Not this place. The wrappers are a little thicker and rusticly finished. I do think the soup dumplings were my favorite but the house special and pork and shrimp dumplings were both delicious. And don’t be shy about using a fork. I’m pretty good with chopsticks but something happens with plastic chopsticks and dumpling wrappers once dipped in chili oil. It is virtually impossible to hold onto them. A very kind waiter saw me struggling and offered a fork and I regret being too stubborn to take him up on the offer.
