They have all the delicious dim sum classics. I got the beef stir fry which had cilantro—a great flavor combo. I also got the pork bun which was delicious, pork xiao long bao that was flavorful and juicy, I got noodles with some chili oil, and the green beans.
Everything was delicious and filling, and did not leave me with a gross feeling afterwords. The food was so good I could not stop eating, and even though I was so full I didn’t feel uncomfortable or greasy. The prices are also very reasonable! Each main dish seemed to come with a side of rice free of charge as well.
Visited this place and ordered four items – boiled pork, shrimp & chive dumplings; chicken potstickers; pork xiaolongbao and beef xiaolongbao.
The pork shrimp and chive dumplings came out and seemed to be fine, but when the person I was with and I bit into our chicken potstickers the filling wasn’t cooked through and there was raw chicken throughout the centre.
The waitress was unsympathetic when we showed her but did offer to refire a new order. Then the pork and beef xiaolongbao came out. I took a bite of the pork and again, the filling was not fully cooked.
I went up to the counter to let the hostess know we’d be leaving and would like a refund – this is a restaurant where you pay for your order at the counter before they bring it to your table – and had to have a discussion with her to get our items refunded (besides the first ones, which we ate).
I did not receive a refund on site but the hostess said her manager would process it and to check my account later. I also found it surprising that they did not offer to refund the full meal given that two of the three items we tried were inedible.
We had come here based off the positive reviews, so maybe we just came on a bad day – but this was a very poor experience.
EDIT: dined in this week. Dan Dan noodles are phenomenal as are the pork wontons
