We’re visiting Reno and wanted some quick bite, so we stumbled on this place. There’s parking in the back and it’s affiliated with the bar, so parking allowed. It’s a food truck.
We saw the choice of 5 for $7 or 10 for $13 xiao long bao dumplings and thought “that’s a decent price point”, hence we came.
They are straight up up-charging on frozen dumplings (Mila Dumplings) + bao buns you can buy from Costco.
Insanity. Never again for the food. Please don’t come here for the food or else you’re wasting money.
The atmosphere itself was cool, so I suggest just come for drinks.

The venue has a nice patio area. Dumpling Queen operates as a food truck serving dumplings that appear to be factory made dumplings, rather than prepared on site. They remind me of the Mila dumplings I’ve bought from Costco. This wasn’t what I was expecting, so it didn’t meet my expectations.

Met the main man, Victor, and he was such a delight to chat with, and he was working the kitchen by himself. The Dumplings were so tasty, that we ordered one more of each item, I just couldn’t get enough. I recommend EVERYTHING, especially the Dan Dan Noodles, that fresh ginger adds another level of heat and texture. Keep it up, I’ll be looking towards our next visit to Reno!

What an amazing little gem! Minimal cost for a tasty little bite to eat. The Bun was exceptionally fluffy and flavorful. Ample outdoor seating with a large fire pit makes it easy for gathering. I cannot say enough about this place. Order one of each from the menu, you won’t be disappointed

My husband and I decided to try something new and stay out of our usual. The ambiance was great, their patio is beautiful with the fire pits and all the seating. However the food was “Alright” and we definitely won’t be coming here for the food but for the bar and ambiance yes! Drinks are cheap.
Food is definitely not freshly made.

Dumpling Queen is a neat setup. The food operation is done out of an airstream trailer in an epic outdoor patio area. Despite the small cooking area the food was delivered quick and hot. While the dumplings and buns were delicious I can’t shake the feeling the dumplings were a pre-frozen option like Mila. Not a knock, they are good, but handmade dumplings would be a different level.
The patio area nestled between too bars (and Lead Dog across the street) makes this a one stop shop for an evening night. Have some drinks, park next to the large firepit or even watch some TV then sober up with some dumplings. Date night achieved.

We ended up stuck in Reno due to bad weather over the Truckee pass, and my friends and I were looking for a place to get some comfort food before heading to the motel on a windy March night. This place was perfect! Everything from the bao, to the dumplings, to the dan dan noodles were DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh and the atmosphere sitting by the fire pit to eat was fantastic, and the lady running the place was very kind and inviting. Sorry it took so long to post a review, and thanks for leaving the light on for a nice photo op! Next time I’m in Reno, I WILL be back!

Found this little gem on a random google search from the jimboys drive through line at 9pm on a Wednesday night (tonight) when I was starving and almost everything was just closed. BEST. FIND.
These bbq buns are friggin delicious. Noodles on point and really well dressed with the seasoning and sauces. Perfectly cooked, awesome atmosphere and for being a sorta late order they were super cool about it too. The entire inside of the airstream they cool out of it coated in moisture so you know the buns are legit! Highly recommend!
