Service was extremely straightforward and efficient, which I always appreciate greatly. My boyfriend ordered the pork belly and I the spicy beef Taiwanese noodles. Both of which were fantastic and the presentation was honestly impressive. The pork belly was soft and warm with a slightly sweet first bite, and the Taiwanese noodles were thick, filling and most of all perfectly chewy; the beef that went with it soaked beautifully in the broth, just adding to the flavor. You’re also given plenty of greens with both dishes, so it’s a nice and balanced meal. While not an amazing deal price wise, it’s better than many other places in the area.

One of my favorite spots in Allston for lunch specials.
Been coming here for lunch whenever I’m running errands in the area. While trendy new Chinese restaurants are constantly popping up in Allston, Dumpling Kingdom offers classic Chinese lunch specials that transport me back to simpler times. Forget the flashy newcomers. This unassuming restaurant consistently satisfies my cravings at unbeatable prices.
Their lunch specials feature over 20 items, each accompanied by a complimentary side of egg drop soup and white rice. Some of my favorites include the Mala Spicy Flounder Fillet and Twice Cooked Pork. The flounder fillet, with its perfect balance of heat and tender meat, is one of the best I’ve had in Boston. Other dishes I’ve tried, like Beef with Scallions, Salt and Pepper Pork Chops, and Taiwanese Pork Belly, were also solid.
I’ve also tried two of their dumplings and particularly enjoyed the Mini Juicy Buns with Pork & Crabmeat. While the umami of the fillings wasn’t completely satisfying, these buns were packed with a good amount of pork juice—so much so that my first bite splashed all over my shirt.
Despite this amazing lunch special deal, the restaurant doesn’t get crowded during lunchtime, so I highly recommend giving them a try.

The soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) here are incredible! Each one is bursting with hot, flavorful soup inside. A must-try for anyone who loves authentic Chinese food.

I’m obsessed with their pork dumplings. They’re fresh, tender, and taste just like homemade. The whole meal was wonderful, and the service was great too.

This place has so much to offer! Love their dumplings and scallion pancakes. I’ve been here a lot of times, and haven’t ever had a dish I didn’t like.
Best place for some quick greasy comfort food.

Great option to dine-in, everything I’ve tried so far at this place is amazing!! Service is crazy fast. Somewhat hard to find parking on weekends but it’s a busy area with lots of (mostly asian) restaurants so its kinda hard to find parking because of that. The place is quiet, super clean. The menu is large. I would easily recommend this place. Go try it!

We ordered 2 types of dumplings and beef fried rice. The dumplings have to be frozen because they look and taste exactly like Chinese spaghetti factory dumplings you can buy at H mart for 5 bucks. The fried rice was extremely bland. It tasted like white rice with random but also flavorless inclusions. I’ve never been to this place despite living in A/B for my entire life… now I see why. The food made all of us extremely sick, despite looking and tasting ok. I was projectile vomiting last night. I would just avoid this place. The food is bland, not worth the price, and will have you squirting out both ends after you eat it.

All the food was wonderful, especially the teriyaki chicken and beef skewers, but please for your own sake take the chicken fingers off the menu. They are so doughy and bad. For me food that makes me feel unhealthy AND want to spit it out is the worst, and those chicken fingers fit in that category. Though it probably is my bad for ordering chicken fingers at a chinese restaurant.
