I visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner with two friends. I arrived a bit early, and since the rest of my party hadn’t arrived yet, the host asked me to wait until everyone was there, but they took my name in the meantime. Once my friends showed up, we were seated right away.

The place was packed and buzzing with energy, which gave it a lively, welcoming vibe. We started with several appetizers—crispy spicy fried chicken, fried calamari, fried fish, and pan-fried dumplings—all of which were flavorful and filling. By the time we shared a plate of pan-fried chicken noodles, we were already quite full and ended up taking leftovers home.

From what I saw at other tables, the entrées and other dumpling varieties look just as tempting. I’m definitely planning to return to try more of their dumplings next time.

We visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. When we arrived, the place was completely empty, yet we were seated right in the middle of the restaurant instead of somewhere more comfortable, like by the window. It felt a bit odd. We ordered seafood dumplings, beef wok, and veggie spring rolls (the set of two). The staff’s attitude was quite strange from the beginning. We noticed that the table next to us received their dumplings in a proper steamer basket, hot and nicely presented with steam coming out , it looked great. However, when our dumplings arrived, they were just thrown into a bowl with no presentation at all. This inconsistency was disappointing. Also, the seafood dumplings had almost no flavor. There was barely any seafood inside , it felt like we were just eating dough rather than an actual dumpling. To be fair, the wonton and beef wonton tasted good, and we have no complaints about the flavor. However, nothing we ordered arrived at the same time. The dishes came out separately and without any coordination, unlike other tables. Another issue was the service: whenever dishes were brought to our table, they were just placed randomly without consideration for space. We had to rearrange everything ourselves. On top of that, the staff’s behavior felt off. Their attitude made us feel uncomfortable, as if we were not welcome or as if we were being treated poorly, despite being paying customers. Overall, while some of the food was good, the service, inconsistency, and overall experience were not satisfactory.

This is a great place to get some good chinese food in Cambridge,MA. I absolutely loved the pork soup dumplings and chicken dumplings as well. We also got roasted duck and a Tofu dish to try-both were also delicious. Lots of students at Harvard recommend to come here and try the dumplings and they were absolutely right. Price also seems affordable and food quantity is sufficient for groups of 4-6 people as well.

Best thing we had was the house fried rice. Dumplings were ok. Chicken wings were plain. We waited 10 minutes before a server came and asked what we wanted to order and it’s only because I told her after she took the couples order next to us when they had just come in.

Stopped in for lunch with a group of three based on strong reviews and glad we did. We kicked things off with scallion pancakes (crispy and tasty) and hot & sour soup, which was fine but my least favorite of the bunch.

From there we dove into the dumplings—one fried and two soup dumpling varieties—and all were delicious. The fried dumplings were the star of the meal, perfectly crisp and flavorful. We also shared Chinese broccoli (simple but really well done) and the salt & pepper shrimp, which had great flavor but definitely packed some heat—so be warned if spice isn’t your thing.

Overall, this spot delivered exactly what we were hoping for: solid dumplings, a few extra dishes that impressed, and a satisfying lunch. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The food was good. Wish it had a bit more flavor. The soup dumplings and beef scallion pancake were 10/10.

We came to Dumpling House for the first time to celebrate a special milestone, and it ended up being such a great choice. The place is simple and unpretentious, but the food is some of the most flavorful in the area. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get. Service was fast and efficient, and everything we ordered really hit the spot. Our favorites are the pork and leek dumplings, and we always love starting with the crab rangoon. Honestly, it’s hard to go wrong here — even the jellyfish is delicious. I really love Dumpling House and everything it brings to the table.

It pains me to give this place a one star review but I am! I spent $65 on a dinner order and had it delivered to my hotel at the airport. It should be quite obvious I need all utensils and napkins. They gave me one fork, one spoon and one napkin. With the amount of food I ordered they should know this order was for several people. That’s the first thing that set me off.

Now onto the food. I ordered F2. Kung Pao Chicken with Peanut F2.宫保鸡 K. They delivered this with no rice and nowhere does it state during the ordering process that rice isn’t included. Who would eat this entree without rice? This is absolutely ridiculous.

I do have to say the food I did eat tasted so good but when you have to share a fork and spoon and not have rice, we really were not able to enjoy this meal. Such a waste of money.

Five stars! Dumpling House was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re unsure of what to try, I highly recommend the soup dumplings—they were so delicious that I immediately ordered a second round. Truly a must-try spot!
