Everything was delicious! We ordered several plates of dumplings and soup buns to share, plus a braised beef noodle soup and vegetarian stir fry noodles. The servers were great, even bringing us extra spoons to share soup dumplings without us asking, and the food came to our table in record time. Definitely would eat here again!

The bathrooms did have a bit of a funky odor, but all things considered, perhaps the soup dumplings just smell better on the way in than they do on the way out.

I had a really lovely experience at Dumpling Empire! The food was genuinely delicious, every dumpling was fresh and flavorful.
What stood out just as much as the meal was the excellent customer service. The staff were attentive and welcoming, which paired perfectly with the restaurant’s quiet, relaxed atmosphere. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to actually hear your conversation while you eat.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It felt a bit expensive for what it is, so just be prepared to pay a premium. That being said, the quality and the vibe make it worth it, and I would definitely go back for another round.

Great new little spot on Maple. The dumplings were very fresh and delicious. We tried the Shumai, cucumber salad, fried rice, pan fried dumplings, steamed dumplings and the hot and sour soup.

Hot and sour soup was great! Thick and lots of flavor. My wife said the fried rice actually tasted like pork and not just fried rice with pork in it. My kids loved the dumplings and the dumpling sauce.

If you are in the area this is a great spot to grab some to take home.

Wow! Fabulous new Asian eatery that totally delivers. I live in Taiwan (back for a visit) and can attest this is probably as authentic as one can get in Omaha. Not your run-of-the mill restaurant. We had the steamed pork buns, stir fried chicken and beef scallion pancakes (more like a roll). Everything was fresh and the noodles and other components are all made freshly on the spot. 真好吃喔! Plus the staff were friendly, prices good and environment spacious and clean. There is an outdoor seating area, too. 我真的推薦這家餐廳!

UPDATE (24 Aug 2025):
What a difference a couple weeks makes! I knew there were other items on the menu that I wanted to try after my initial visit on opening weekend. I had a craving for dumplings today, so I figured I’d give this location another shot. I’m very glad I did!

When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a server who escorted me to a clean table. My drink order was taken immediately (very refreshing iced tea). My order was then taken very soon after that, and I tried all new dishes: scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, and a pan fried tri-delicacy dumplings. They were served very quickly, and all were piping hot and quite flavorful.

This second experience was almost a complete 180° from my initial visit, underscoring the importance of giving restaurants a second chance to make a good impression if the first one was less than stellar. There are so many other food items on the menu, and I can’t wait to return to try some more.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (Opening Weekend):
Service: When I walked in, I missed the “please wait to be seated” sign that was placed to the right of the main entrance. So, I walked to the register, unsure if I was to order at the counter or not. One of the servers asked me what I needed, and I simply said I was hoping to eat in if there was a table available. He curtly told me others were waiting ahead of me and to have a seat. I immediately apologized for my confusion and gladly waited for the next available table.

While waiting for a table, I saw there were 3 servers working the entire floor with an additional 3 workers visible in the kitchen / at the coonter. Several tables were waiting to be bussed, bhere was no appreciable urgency in seating those waiting to enjoy the food.

Upon being sat at a freshly cleaned table, the same server with whom I initially interacted was similarly curt and honestly borderline unfriendly. Perhaps he was still frustrated by my initial unintentional faux pas?!

He provided me a new plate and fork, but the server noticed something on the fork. Instead of immediately providing a new one, he simply picked away at what he saw with his ungloved hands and then placed it back on the table for use. Needless to say, that wasn’t going to happen. Although I was provided my chosen drink (water) quickly, I waited 11 minutes to place my order.

The atmosphere was nothing special, but the smells were great. I was hungry, and the aroma certainly was enticing. Unintelligible radio simply created background cacophony. Pleasantly, the AC wasn’t set to frigid as I find most establishments are this time of year.

For food, I ordered hot & sour soup, scallion pancake beef rolls, and soy paste pork buns. The soup was visible in a warming pot on the counter by the drinks instead of in the kitchen, so I was served that almost instantly. It was steaming, flavorful, and contained all of the expected ingredients in a healthy serving size.

While my soup was served quickly, I cannot say the same for the rest of my order. I waited from 1317 until 1356 when I received the scallion pancake beef rolls. I didn’t say anything about the wait. I ahd no plans, and honestly, I was amused and astonished by the amount of time that passed from ordering to being served.

Inexplicably, the scallion pancake beef rolls were lukewarm and had minimal flavor. I would not order them again.

I was served the soy paste pork buns at 1405. They were steaming for sure! They were quite good. There were 4 sauces available on the table, including true Sriracha. All were truly tasty.

I know this was this location’s opening weekend. I feel they definitely have some bugs to work out. There are some other items on the menu that I definitely want to try, but I think I’ll wait sometime before I return to let them iron out all the bugs in their system.

Fast service, reasonable prices, and the best soup dumplings I’ve had in Omaha. What more can you ask for? If I could rate this place 100 stars, I would. A must try if you’re in the area!

Just visited DE 2-7-26. Long story short…it was fantastic! Party of 10, 4 adults 6 kids. Place was hopping and they still accommodated us without hesitation. Bonus points for that. Chili oil wonton soup, braised beef soup, strange taste soup, pork stir fry noodles, chicken fried rice, tri color soup buns, cucumber salad, and several orders of dumplings. Everything was delicious. We were all impressed. Special note: I make a couple versions of Asian flavored cucumber but this stuff has a spectacular flavor. Service was on point. Even at their busiest, still very attentive. Small joint, big personality. Overall experience definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Out of all my reviews I focus on food. This place had great food. I simply loved their dumplings. The soup dumplings were great and the tridelicacies was amazing. The staff were also extremely kind and helpful. They helped bag up the leftover food I had which was amazing. They are also always smiling and kind. My only issues I have had is with the interior. I have went two times now and both times the sauce containers could be cleaned up a little. I really like the dumpling sauce but I simply refuse to use it with how sticky I have seen it. It also occasionally got extremely humid in the room. It almost makes you think that the windows are frosted with how much condensation is on them. I still recommend this place to anyone who wants great dumplings.
