New dumpling eatery in Eden Prairie – Facebook

Brazin Public House is a new spot for great food in Eden Prairie, just off Shady Oak Road. I was lucky enough to be invited to the soft opening.

My wife and I are dumpling fans, and having visited the Dumpling Eatery in Eden Prairie, we wonder if this is how they should have tasted all along.

Getting a reservation ahead of time might be a good idea, as there was about a 30-minute wait when we first arrived. The staff had blocked off 3 tables in a very busy restaurant and those parties were seated immediately when they arrived. No worries for me, as there is a window into the kitchen where you can observe the skills of the dumpling chefs, nimble hands flying as they craft the dumplings. The decor is simple but charming with nice atmospheric touches. When the restaurant is full, it can get quite loud, requiring raised voices for conversation. When we were seated, we quickly discovered that our table was directly below a vent blowing frigid air. When we brought this to our server’s attention, he immediately brought us some complimentary hot tea and had it corrected within 10 minutes (salvaging that 5-star review).

Here’s the bottom line: The food is delicious. We tried their steamed dumpling sampler (six different kinds of dumplings), their fried bao buns, and some vegetarian noodles. The beauty is in the flavor subtlety. The flavors don’t slap your mouth like many Asian/American places that douse everything in MSG. The flavors develop gently as you’re eating, akin to excellent sushi. Everything was outstanding, but we remarked on how these may have been the freshest noodles we’ve sampled in years.

The portion sizes are on the small side, but sharing three dishes left our duo very satisfied and cost (after tip) around $60. Overall, we left with very happy bellies.

Food was excellent, service was spot on and attentive. Little loud for my taste due to a large group lunch NOT the restaurants fault! I repeat NOT the restaurants fault. Soup dumplings and appetizers were amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious!

This restaurant is nicely decorated with lots of cute, authentic Chinese, and dumpling-themed elements.

The menu is fairly limited. We ordered all the dishes shown in the photos, but it wasn’t enough food overall. The dumpling dishes felt more like appetizer portions rather than main courses, yet they were priced like entrees.

The sampler soup dumplings were quite disappointing, as they all tasted very similar. The noodles were very bland, with little flavor beyond salt.

The servers were friendly, but we had to wait a long time for our food.

For the price we paid, I expected a more upscale dining experience. Instead, it felt more like eating Chinese street food with small portions.

My family and I were so excited to finally have another dumpling place in the area. The restaurant itself is very nice and modern when you walk in, which made us even more excited to try it.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. When it got busy, the staff seemed confused about where dishes were supposed to go. Food was repeatedly brought to the wrong tables, and we watched other tables receive their food before us even though we had ordered first. One table ordered the same dish about 10 minutes after we did and still received it before we did.

The worst part of the experience was discovering that our pan-fried pork buns came out completely raw inside after already eating 2. When we informed the staff, they took the dish back while laughing, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. At that point, we had completely lost our appetite.

Overall, the flavors were just okay, nothing memorable. I would strongly recommend checking your food carefully before eating.

Went during their soft opening to check it out. We tried the crab and pork soup dumplings, the black truffle and pork, chicken wings and the pan fried juciy pork dumplings.
I thought everything that we tried was delicious. I really liked the flavors. I felt like the both of the soup dumplings were very flavorful. I liked that the soup was still warm when we got them.
The only thing that sucked was that if you didn’t pick them up fast enough they stuck to the steamer basket paper and broke so the soup leaked out.
The chicken wings were very crispy and seemed to have a curry flavor, delicious.
The pan fried baos were okay, I did enjoy the crispiness.
It is pricey and the service was okay.
Overall I would go back and I would recommend.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday! It was a wonderful place, great service, very quiet. The service was fast and friendly, our waitress was very attentive. Ordered the pork chive dumplings, beef soup dumplings, pork vegetable potstickers, and pork bbq buns. My favorite was 100% the pork chive dumplings, they were perfectly soft wrappers, with warm amazing filling. Best dumplings I’ve had in a while. — follow me on instagram for more mn food reviews and activities!! :3 @kitdough on insta!

A fantastic new spot if you’re craving soup dumplings. The place is cozy, modern, and clean, and the dumplings really bring that authentic flavor that might remind you of places like LA or Taiwan. Definitely worth a visit!

Our first time visiting The Dumpling Eatery was an absolute treat!

The speed of service was impressive, but the real star was the food—it was truly amazing.

We sampled a variety of dishes and everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

If you’re looking for fast, high-quality, and authentic food, we highly recommend checking this place out. We’ll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is great and service was good. The bao buns were very delicious as was the soup. It was quite hot though so needed a little time to cool. The soup is pretty traditional with the cuts of meat. The bao buns had basically a sip of soup inside already too. Take a bite to open the bun and sip the soup out and dip it in the sauce for extra flavor. A little pricey for how much you get but the quality is very good.

We stumbled upon this new place on our way up north and during their soft opening and I’m sure glad we did! It will be saved in my maps lists. we got the egg drop soup which was amazing and had perfect flavor and texture. We also got the steamed pork soup dumpling and the beef bao and this is the first time I’ve tried these kinds of dumplings. They were exquisite. The service was great and offered us a coke when the beef bao took a little longer than expected. Definitely coming back and telling my friends!
