Stopped in for lunch. There were a few tables occupied when we arrived. We sat ourselves to table. They brought out place servings and water. This place has QR code to scan to order. We ordered popcorn chicken, green onion pancake, pork and leek dumplings, pan fried dumpling, Shanghai noodles, black garlic ramen, bunny custard bun, taro bun, pork xaio long bao and beef roll. Beef roll tasted good, but in my opinion the wrapper was a little thick making it chewy. Pork and leek dumplings were delicious. Popcorn was good and large portion to boot. Green onion pancake looked good, I didn’t try but my kid loved it. Shanghai noodles was good, had wok hey. Bunny bun was cute and tasted great, another item my kid liked. Taro bun was also very good. Pork soup dumpling, soup was delicious. Pan fried dumpling also had good amount of soup and was yummy. Ramen was ok, not bad but ramen shops are better. Overall good food, my kid liked it and he’s very picky. My mom also thought it was very good so it’s good for older Chinese too.

Tucked away on a street corner, this small eatery is always bustling around mealtimes. I ordered their signature noodle soup, and it arrived steaming hot, fragrant and inviting. The first sip of the broth was impressive—clear yet full-bodied, naturally sweet and savory without any excess grease.

The noodles were the true highlight. Springy and pleasantly chewy, they had a satisfying bite that made each mouthful enjoyable. As I chewed, a subtle wheat aroma gradually unfolded on the palate. The toppings were generous and thoughtfully paired, complementing the broth and adding depth to every layer of flavor.

Even after finishing the last bite, I was left wanting more. What makes it even better is the reasonable price—the portion size and quality are well worth the cost. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal or a place worth visiting just for the taste, this bowl of noodles comes highly recommended. I order seafood ramen!

This used to be another restaurant and just like the previous one, the restaurant needs to figure out what kind of restaurant it wants to be. Right now it has several shanghainese dishes such as Shengjian bao and Xiao long bao. It also has some noodle and dumpling dishes from Northern China and then it has some boba tea snacks such as popcorn chicken and grilled squid.

From the Chinese name (it means maternal grandmother’s house), it’s probably originally trying to be a shanghainese cuisine and if so I’d suggest focusing on that.

Many of the dishes are out of stock which is weird for a restaurant but I came here mostly to try out the Shengjian bao which is one of my favorite shanghainese dish. I typically have to drive to Fremont for decent Shengjian bao and I’m glad this restaurant serves it even though it did some details wrong. The bun dough is properly missed but the buns should be properly made (the shapes are somewhat messed up). The frying/grilling is uneven on the bottom and my biggest complaint would be not marinating the meat with soy sauce. The broth inside the buns should be clear broth not colored (too dark). However even with all the faults it’s not bad and just because it allows me to have something to eat without driving to Fremont I’m giving this place 4 stars.

We went for lunch, and unfortunately this will be our first and last visit. The waitress looked stern the entire time—not just with us, but with other customers as well. I don’t expect exceptional service from a Chinese restaurant, but her expression was noticeably unpleasant.

The food was also disappointing. The deep-fried bun arrived burnt. The Xiaolongbao had unusually thick skin and a bland filling. We also ordered the bamboo and mushroom bun, which was clearly not freshly made—you could see the original manufacturing imprints on the bottom, which didn’t match the steamer paper used by the restaurant. They claim everything is handmade, but that’s definitely not true for this bun.

Overall, the experience was not worth returning for. Very disappointing.

Great dumplings, excellent service. Everything was very delicious, we tried both the regular and crab sew lung bao’s, the stir fried noodles, spicy won tons. All of it was amazing. Definitely give them a try.

Small cozy place . Dumplings and soup was good . Couple things would have made this better . This is the first time in a Chinese place where when we ordered tea they got it in a cup with a tea bag . It would be nice if tea came in a pot for two like most restaurants . Would be also nice if it was included part of service . Beef soup was good . Meat was very lean . It’s nice to have soup meat have a bit more fat and it would have contributed more to the taste . Again different from most Chinese beef soup .

The lady that took our order was polite but she had this angry face on. My family ordered ramen soup and it was horrible, it did not have any taste it was like water with a little bit of salt. And on top of that they forgot to put the ramen noodles. Their scallion pancake thing didn’t taste like it had any scallion. And their sesame balls was over cooked and again nasty. The price to eat a tasteless, nasty food was not worth it.
