Food smelled great from the street, pulled in and gave it a try after somewhat remembering a mention of it online. Small menu but that’s what I like to see when a place is good at something. Had the fried dumplings and two noodle dishes. Neither was spicy so I added chili crisp at the table. Flavor was great of the beef and noodles. Thai tea tasted a little watered down. Cute tchotchke wall. Service was okay, our second of two entree’s nearly was served to a different table and my mother had to ask for a fork. (Shame on her) I heard Santa Fe didn’t have great Asian cuisine but that this was among the best they had to offer. 4/5, not the best but definitely should be on your shortlist before going to a chain.

Overall, the food was good and enjoyable. The service could have been more attentive, and our order wasn’t entirely correct. That said, the flavors were solid, and I’d be willing to give it another try.

Dumpling Cafe is honestly great. The dumplings are clearly homemade — hearty fillings wrapped in chewy, perfectly textured dough, not the generic frozen kind you find elsewhere. We loved the steamed shrimp dumplings, spicy pork wontons, and shrimp and pork shumai.

The unexpected standout was the hot and sour beef noodle soup — packed with flavor and just the right balance of spice and tang. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Easy parking lot, too. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

This restaurant is fabulous! The soup dumplings and the spicy beef noodle soup were absolutely delicious. The staff was so kind and helpful and the restaurant decor is very cute! Went twice on our trip and can’t wait to come back.

This little hidden away GEM! The Dumpling Cafe is a great little small business in the heart of downtown Santa Fe.
The owners and staff are lovely. And Best of All, and most important, the food is delicious! It’s all made to order with fresh ingredients and unique flavors. They take pride in their business.
It’s not a fancy restaurant, more like a cafe. Highly recommend you go there for a try. And….if you like “spicy” they know how to do it. They also have their own parking lot.

Great food , dumplings are excellent, General Tao’s chicken is amazing and has ginger flavor which makes it very unique. We dined here twice. The basic service was very poor the second time. I ordered ice coffee and no sugar available on table, I requested sugar and received about a teaspoon in a ramekin , not enough to sweeten , I abandoned my $5.00 ice coffee instead of asking again. We ordered fried Chicken dumplings to go. The waiter brought a friend rice and chicken dish. We told him of the mistake and he acted annoyed with us. No apology. We never received the dumplings we did order. We paid in cash and asked for a to go container for the leftover food. The waiter returned to ask if we “ wanted change” a cardinal sin for any service person—but especially so after giving such poor service. Finally got the to go container at second request. Bad service sadly destroys very decent food!! We’ll find another place for dumplings!

We came here during a visit through Santa Fe. Not what I expected at all! Outside is very quaint but the food is incredible. Be careful, the portions are much bigger than your average Chinese restaurant. We had the soup dumplings, wonton soups, Mongolian beef, and chicken fried rice. We didn’t realize we’d be stuffed after the soup dumplings and wonton soups! Definitely got a to go box and we’re very happy we did because we tried everything and it was all amazing! The service was kind and quick. Highly recommend and we will be here again next time we are in Santa Fe!

Among the most authentic Chinese Restaurants I’ve ever been to. The ramen in the noodle soup is chewy and smooth (lack of better words). Highly recommended.

It’s a very cozy restaurant to spend some time with someone special or with friends. The food is very good. I tried the pork broth; it’s simply delicious. ¹¹ Unfortunately, the parking lot is small.
