A bit too americanized for my taste but glad to see that RC is opening up more chinese restaurants. This gives me a variety for lunch with my coworkers.

The mapo tofu can be spicier. Mongolian beef is too sweet and lacks flavor, tastes more like Scallion Beef than Mongolian Beef. The XLB’s skin is too thick.

Dumpling Artisan is a hidden gem! I came in craving something comforting and left completely satisfied. The handmade noodles were perfectly chewy and soaked up the rich, flavorful broth beautifully. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned—simple, but done right.

And of course, the dumplings were the star of the show—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with savory goodness. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care.

The atmosphere is clean and casual, and the service was quick and friendly. Whether you’re in the mood for a warm bowl of noodles or a plate of perfectly cooked dumplings, this place hits the spot.

Definitely coming back soon!

We heard about this place and wanted to try it, we came in for soup dumplings and they were okay but not really amazing, I still like 7grams better, we also ordered a plate of Mongolian beef, it didn’t come with rice so I had to add a side order of steam rice for 2.50, well, the beef was tender and the serving was pretty generous but it lack on flavor, we had to add some chili sauce and soy sauce to make it edible, there was some people next to us and they were eating some thick noodles, they didn’t look appetizing, in the plus side, they offer a carafe of water so we can refill our plastic cups, in the end they add a 15% to your check for service fee, therefore, I didn’t add anything else for tip.
We wouldn’t comeback here because we had better places for this type of food. But you may like it.
Thank you for reading my review.

The Baseline
The Baseline: For Asian dumplings, the food flavors need to be authentic, the portions have to be properly sized, and the restaurant must be comfortable and stylish.

Food: The dumplings were incredible. Using other popular soup dumpling restaurants as a comparison, Dumpling Artisan gave me soup flavor I found new and refreshing. The meat portion was bigger in the dumpling and the soup wasn’t as sweet as other chain restaurants (which means less sugar added). The scallion pancake was hot, crispy with a tender center just how I enjoy it. I wish I had this place closer to where I live so I can eat here more.

Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. They were fast and efficient with orders. Cold water carafe left on the table for keeping my water full.

Atmosphere: A casual sit-down restaurant with good seating and space between tables. There was a unkept fish tank. The kitchen is behind glass where you can see the food prepared, which I love. Bathroom was clean. The feel of the restaurant was nice.

So much better than their predecessor, SH Wonton. Dumpling Artisan uses good quality meats for all of their dishes. Great taste with great quality. Highly recommend and will definitely frequent the place. PS, I ordered the soup noodles with that giant bone in there, took and bone home, my German Shepherd loved it!!!!!! No bones go wasted!

First time at Dumpling Artisan and we’ll definitely be back!
We were too hungry to take many photos, but thankfully the food came out fast and everything was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

We tried a variety of dishes, including the salt and pepper chicken (a table favorite), braised beef noodle soup, beef bone broth noodles, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, beef udon stir fry, dumplings, baos, and walnut shrimp—the shrimp were huge!

Drinks were also great—especially the mango passion fruit green tea (amazing!) and Thai tea, which wasn’t overly sweet.

For dessert, we had the taro balls and the animal-style piggy buns. The taro was good, but the piggy buns were more cute than tasty.

Great spot overall—flavorful food, fast service, and plenty of options to try next time!

My husband and I came here for lunch for the first time, and it was such a great experience. To start, we ordered the cucumbers as an appetizer , followed by the wontons in chili oil and the beef udon stir fry plate. We also ordered scallion oil noodles and pork shao long bao’s. Overall, the flavors were 10/10. Everything we got was so delicious, we compared it to ding tai fung. I honestly prefer this over ding tai fung. 10/10 would recommend. We are definitely coming back! The staff was so friendly, attentive, and served our food promptly. It all tasted freshly made and was super flavorful! I would’ve added photos but I wrote this review after we devoured everything lol but check out the pics for yourself on their menu.

This place is located above Haven Market, closer to Goodwill. Parking can be troublesome if Haven Market is busy, but if you know in advance where to find parking away from Haven Market, it should help.

Service was attentive, even though she was by herself with the entire restaurant to cover. I went in early on Tuesday evening, and there were very few people here. However, by the time I left it was packed.

I had the wontons in chili oil, it wasn’t too spicy and I ended up adding soy sauce to give it a little more flavor.

The mango passionfruit juice was pretty refreshing as well.

Respectfully Reviewed.

I’ve eaten here a couple times and have gotten take out with my sisters. This is by far the best dumpling place I’ve tried. My stomach is pretty small so the portions and size of the dumplings are perfect. I‘ve only had their dumplings but I still find them to be the best I’ve tried compared to others. The service is great here and the place itself is very cozy. I say this is the perfect place for a quick and small snack!

This place was such a nice surprise! Fresh handmade dumplings that were absolutely delicious! So much more reasonably priced then other places that serve xiao long bao. We ordered four different types of dumplings-classic, beef wagyu and crab roe xiao long bao and steamed pork and shrimp dumplings. Everything was so yummy, especially the soup dumplings. Service was great and all the staff were so friendly. Ended our meal with the sesame mochi balls with red bean paste. It was the perfect dessert. Will definitely be back.
