The mapo tofu can be spicier. Mongolian beef is too sweet and lacks flavor, tastes more like Scallion Beef than Mongolian Beef. The XLB’s skin is too thick.
And of course, the dumplings were the star of the show—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with savory goodness. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care.
The atmosphere is clean and casual, and the service was quick and friendly. Whether you’re in the mood for a warm bowl of noodles or a plate of perfectly cooked dumplings, this place hits the spot.
Definitely coming back soon!
We wouldn’t comeback here because we had better places for this type of food. But you may like it.
Thank you for reading my review.
Food: The dumplings were incredible. Using other popular soup dumpling restaurants as a comparison, Dumpling Artisan gave me soup flavor I found new and refreshing. The meat portion was bigger in the dumpling and the soup wasn’t as sweet as other chain restaurants (which means less sugar added). The scallion pancake was hot, crispy with a tender center just how I enjoy it. I wish I had this place closer to where I live so I can eat here more.
Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. They were fast and efficient with orders. Cold water carafe left on the table for keeping my water full.
Atmosphere: A casual sit-down restaurant with good seating and space between tables. There was a unkept fish tank. The kitchen is behind glass where you can see the food prepared, which I love. Bathroom was clean. The feel of the restaurant was nice.

So much better than their predecessor, SH Wonton. Dumpling Artisan uses good quality meats for all of their dishes. Great taste with great quality. Highly recommend and will definitely frequent the place. PS, I ordered the soup noodles with that giant bone in there, took and bone home, my German Shepherd loved it!!!!!! No bones go wasted!
We were too hungry to take many photos, but thankfully the food came out fast and everything was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
We tried a variety of dishes, including the salt and pepper chicken (a table favorite), braised beef noodle soup, beef bone broth noodles, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, beef udon stir fry, dumplings, baos, and walnut shrimp—the shrimp were huge!
Drinks were also great—especially the mango passion fruit green tea (amazing!) and Thai tea, which wasn’t overly sweet.
For dessert, we had the taro balls and the animal-style piggy buns. The taro was good, but the piggy buns were more cute than tasty.
Great spot overall—flavorful food, fast service, and plenty of options to try next time!
Service was attentive, even though she was by herself with the entire restaurant to cover. I went in early on Tuesday evening, and there were very few people here. However, by the time I left it was packed.
I had the wontons in chili oil, it wasn’t too spicy and I ended up adding soy sauce to give it a little more flavor.
The mango passionfruit juice was pretty refreshing as well.
