The restaurant is located in an amazing neighborhood with lots of restaurants around and nice place to take a walk. Coming to the food we got the chicken pesto pizza (5/5) I got it right out of the oven and it was piping hot. It smelled incredible and the taste was great. Needed a pinch of salt on top. The crest was soft and easy to chew and the pesto was great. A decent pizza for two people at a reasonable price. I’ll go again.

So, I believe in second chances, I had originally given this business a low rating based on a very late pizza delivery. I had always enjoyed their pizza but the delivery issue left a bad taste in my mouth(no pun intended). However, today we tried again and the pizza came on time, warm and delicious. We’ll continue to patronize this small/local business and enjoy their delicious pizza offerings.

Great neighborhood restaurant; Just started going here a week ago and I am so glad I did! The cheese steak and Italian subs (probably all of their subs) are excellent! My wife loved the pizza. We have also gotten mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers, both sides were fantastic. Georgia is a pleasure to talk to on the phone; Very helpful and down to business! Will continue being a customer as long as I am in the area!

We only dicovered Dumm’s last year, but have enjoyed it greatly since. We’ve gotten pizza there several times and love it. It is a thin crust, hand formed (even my wife likes it and her preference is thick-crust). The crust has a good flavor and texture, a bit chewy even though it crisps up a bit in the cooking. I really like the sauce that they make in house. Toppings are great – we tend to go with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and garlic. YUM!

Dumms is such a great neighborhood joint with good pizza and great subs. And so reasonably priced. We love ordering from there and sitting at Town Center’s outdoor space. I have heard rumors that they may close and that would be such a shame – Riverdale doesn’t need to lose another beloved neighborhood restaurant.

Over the past year Dumm’s has allowed the quality of the product to drop tremendously. In the past, the service has been friendly with fast and accurate delivery and the food while not fancy was always fresh and hot. The service continues to be friendly but the food no longer tastes fresh and is often cold when delivered.
During the pandemic, the restaurant seemed to have difficulty keeping delivery drivers and would often state they were only allowing pick-up orders. While frustrating, I continued to support them when possible.
I continue to try and support this local business, but it is becoming more and more difficult for me to justify spending money with them when the quality is at best iffy on any given night. There are times that the pizza has been so greasy as to be inedible, and in the case of the last two orders the crust was akin to cardboard and tasted like something I would get from a chain restaurant.
I’m hoping that as business improves, this long-term favorite will again use quality ingredients and start focusing at least some of their efforts on quality control. I’m a loyal customer, but even I have my limits.
