The calamari and bruschetta were the best thing we ate. The prime rib was very fatty and not seasoned well. The ribeye was tough. The filet was decent but not worth the price. The chocolate brownie was delicious though. The service was not very good. Had to ask for water multiple times and then it had a weird taste to it. Had much higher expectations for the type of restaurant and price range it was.
The appetizer and dessert are the only reason it got a 3.

While staying at the Francisco Grande, I had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Duke’s. The fish and chips were delicious. The service was great! The carrot cake was also very good.

This is a restaurant/bar in the Francisco Grande hotel in Casa Grande. This hotels claim to fame is that back in the day John Wayne would stay there while filming. Apparently he had a ranch or two nearby. So this bar is named after him. You can see that the hotel has a mid century retro kind of vibe. The servers were friendly and the food was pretty good.

Stopped in to try out their version of a steak salad, called the Red River Ranch Salad…the steak was absolutely delicious, but the salad was lacking. They were out of some ingredients, so they over compensated in roasted corn and black beans. The hamburger was a little greasy but good. We also tried the fried cactus, which was delicious if you ate when hot, but the longer it sat the cactus started to get mushy inside and we ended up just eating the batter off the last few. The service was good. They were busy, but we still had an attentive waiter. We’ll have to give it another try and see what other dishes on the menu might be our favorites.

Super!! Left a voice message asking for a call back. Looking for last minute San Valentin reservations. The Manager called back, apologized because they were fully booked at their main dinner restaurant! He invited us to go to the bar side before 5pm and he will be making sure that the Valentine’s Menu was available… the rest is history! Delish!! Great team work!

I’ve been a patron to this place for the last 15 years. I’ve seen this place slowly decline and cater more to the students that are housed there. Last nights dinner will be the last for me. Food and quality are mediocre with little to no taste/flavor. The menu hasn’t changed over the last decade. The staff, although nice made the bar area much louder than the 2 tables seated. This is at best a quick lunch spot if you’re staying there, golfing or visiting but there are far better options located in town that surpass. The entry to the restaurants feels like your walking through a high school cafeteria before getting there. Sad. This is just the reality of this place- what was once a place for a night out or event hosting is now a student hub.

Went to the Restaurant Legends at the Francisco Grande Hotel for Lunch and it is truly amazing. The waitress was very happy to take our orders and was knowledgeable of the dishes they serve. The food was 5 star for Presentation and taste, delicious onion rings, geez the Soup and Sandwich was wonderful. All the dishes looked and tasted great and they are reasonably priced. And if you like Bloody Mary’s they have the BEST. We will be back soon!!!

The chicken in my sandwich was like leather. They did give me an avocado side instead of fries which was very nice. The frozen Margarita did no seem to have any alcohol in it. It was incredibly noisy. I asked for no bacon in my sandwich, and there was bacon in my sandwich.
