We were looking for a sit-down lunch in between games at the Strawberry Classic tournament and called Duke’s ahead of time. We were told they could accommodate our party of 15 right away. When we arrived, it was busy but there were open tables. The manager on duty, Shawna, told us it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. We stayed.
We waited nearly an hour and a half.
After being seated, no one came to the table for an extended period. Shawna never followed up after giving us the original wait time. I had to locate her a second time because we still had not been served. I explained that we had already waited well over an hour and had players who needed to eat and return to the fields. Her response was that they were busy and understaffed. When I suggested management step in to support the team, she told me we were free to take our business elsewhere.
That response reflects a leadership issue, not a staffing issue.
Our server, Axia, was excellent. She stepped in, took control of the table, and handled a difficult situation with professionalism and composure. We tipped her accordingly. The breakdown was not at the server level. It was operational.
Food was delivered at inconsistent times, and overall pacing felt disorganized.
Duke’s is located near Ellis-Methvin Park, which regularly hosts large tournaments. These events are scheduled and predictable. Staffing and floor management should reflect that reality.
If you are looking for a dependable, well-managed post-game meal during a tournament weekend, this was not that experience.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Fried okra is soggy in oil and not cooked right. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they look outright ridiculous. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THIS GARBAGE.

Food is good. Wings were nice. Different sauces tasted good. Fries and onion rings were good. Water was not filtered. Very rough. Beer and sodas fine. I would recommend a table instead of bar. Bartender non existent many people waiting on food and to order. Maybe short staffed. Who knows. Manager just stood in back corner didn’t do anything. Didn’t pitch in to help. I will come back for food but won’t sit at bar.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the dress code and overall environment. During my recent visit , I noticed that some of the staff were dressed inappropriately, in my opinion so disregard and not in line with that I would expect from a family-oriented establishment.
Given the reputation of your restaurant as a family-friendly venue , I found this extremely disappointing and would never feel comfortable bringing my children to an environment like this . I hope that management will review the dress code policy and take steps to ensure that aligns with the family-friendly image of your restaurant . I met a friend from high school at Dukes. We had a wonderful waitress. She did a great job pushing the wings. We didn’t get the wings though. I got a smothered chicken and he got a pasta dish with chicken and shrimp. Both entres were delicious. The music was wonderful, we had not seen each other in a few years so the catching up was important. Otherwise we would have been doing our own version of karaoke at the table. It was a great evening with lots of fun!

I made reservations 20 & we ended up 31. The waitress was very organized, efficient & personal. The cook amazing! No complaints all food was hot & all come out together. No way could we have better service. A+ ALL THE WAY! our group will be back in future.

I wouldn’t recommend anything fried, unless you like dipping your food in grease. No seasoning on the fries so you can guess that flavor.
The band Exit 55+ was awesome, they’ll be the only reason why we return. Definitely eating elsewhere before we go though.

This was our first time here, I was very impressed! I counted 27 TVs, they had on a little bit of everything.
Our server, Nicole, was very friendly, she took great care of us. Everything tasted great, the beers were ice cold.
The live entertainment was fantastic, Friday only, be sure to check it out!

Met a high school friend i haven’t seen in 54 years. The bar appeared very clean and had appropriate amount of bartenders. Sat at the bar closest to the entrance. The bartenders were all gathered at the far-end. I waited.10 minutes for a bartenders to approach me. When my friend arrived, he waited for 10 minutes also to be waited on. This lack of acceptable service continued for 3 hours. It appeared the bartending staff were more interested in socializing with each other than attending to the bar patrons.
