Just as another recent post mentioned, we added this to our places to go based on a food review guy on Instagram. Not what we expected. Good number of the items on the menu were crossed off. The lady who took our order was friendly but probably had a few too many sodas-reason for the service rating. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, a link, mac and cheese and baked beans. Brisket-outstanding, link- very good but had a consistency of a hot dog, pulled pork was a bit chewy, mac and cheese looked microwaved and was bland, beans were very good. See pictures. Good but, based on our experience, not worth a special trip. Would probably eat again if nothing else was available.

Saw a review of this place covered by a foodie influencer earlier this week – so that landed Dukes Blues n BBQ on my must go soon radar.
Beautiful early September sunny Saturday afternoon would be perfect for an outdoor picnic table late lunch.
Arrived about 3pm to find the place jumping with a couple customers in line. Momma Duke is the warmest personality working the window taking orders with her kind hospitality.
That gave us a couple minutes to review the chalkboard menu. We knew we were going ALL IN & pretty much going to order EVERYTHING taking home leftovers.
So we ordered – pulled pork sandwich – rib tips – full slab of ribs – Mississippi sausage – beans – Mac n cheese. We skipped the pulled chicken and they were sadly out of cornbread.
Note to self – go earlier next time
Food was brought out to us at our picnic table very quickly.
EVERYTHING was delicious
The beans have a couple chunks of pork in them which is an especially nice touch.
The ribs are hearty with TONS of meat & nice flavor. Rib tips were yummmm. Pulled pork was a beautiful smoked flavor.
Grabbed a few photos as when I read reviews – I let the photos speak for the food. We took about 3/4 of everything home for 2 additional meals.
Chatted with Duke Sr on our way to our car while he was tending to the smokers. We missed Duke as he was at a remote location in Streamwood – next time.
How did I not know about this place ?!?!?

Amazing dive for the best BBQ I’ve had in Illinois (and tbh high ranking in comparison to Texas, Tennessee, and the Carolinas as well). Duke can be seen greeting customers with a lovely smile mastering 3 huge smokers out back. We got the brisket, the Mississippi sausage, Mac n cheese, and coleslaw. Sides were done simply and well, fresh with good ingredients, that really complimented the star of the show—the MEAT, BABY! The sauce was more savory than sweet, which was pleasant and good for smothering…mmmm… Definitely coming back soon for more brisket and curious to order ahead for the beef ribs…

Good but a couple issues. The ribs had fantastic flavor and were pretty fall off the bone but were served cold. The brisket was cooked to be exceptionally soft and the peppery taste was great, but in a barbecued brisket I’d rather have the smokey flavor that this was kind of lacking. Mac n cheese was amazing.
Overall they have some things they can improve on but to have a very good barbecue spot in the suburbs is such a great thing. Support them!

Had this wonderful BBQ delivered to work today. It is so yummy! The meat was fall apart in your mouth, full of flavor goodness! The beans were so tasty. The brisket had the perfect flavor and texture, the ribs were very meaty and flavorful as well! I cannot rate service or atmosphere but I know I will be getting this food again with my family. We will be going there to check out more items on the menu! Can’t wait! Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had!

I had been waiting to try Dukes in Dundee for awhile. I didn’t know how it all worked so when I saw the Facebook post they were doing deals I ran over. Service was amazing. Owner talked to you, brought my food to my car when it was ready. Great guy. Prices and portions are unmatched. Huge portions with sides for one price. Food was delicious. This made 8 meals for my husband and I! Watch their facebook for updates!

Somehow, I had not stopped by this place in the past. …. I had them cater a business lunch and it was fantastic. I typically order my ribs and also pulled pork with sauce on the side, but not here! Great smoke, great rubs and great flavor. Everything was cooked perfect. The Beans are amazing as well. Since then, we had another catering event, and I was able to try some brisket and chicken, and it was equally as good. Nice service, he delivered on his birthday, I missed the party later unfortunately! Definitely looking forward to heading over for lunch and ordering off the menu, trying a few more items! Good Job.

Duke was absolutely amazing to work with. My company had a celebration with 40 people and Duke could not have been more accommodating. We had brisket, pulled pork, ribs, rib tips, cornbread, baked beans, and mac & cheese. Wow – what a hit. Incredible quality, the best service, and we love supporting local businesses. Definitely check them out if you want great barbeque and funky cool vibes!
