After coming to Maui for the 4th time, my family decided to try out Duke’s. Our family has grown with two toddlers since the first time we came to Maui, and this time brought along my sister and brother-in-law. From our experience, getting a table on a busy weekend night is never easy, especially with two toddlers. However, even without reservations, Duke’s was able to find an outdoor table for us with only a 15-20 minute wait! We were seated outside with a great view of the live Ukulele player Damien Awai! We were attended to very quickly and given glasses of water and two non-glass cups with straws for the kiddos. While the menu items were pricey, I think they were comparable to other restaurants in Maui. When we got our food, it was clear that the items were priced appropriately because the food was top quality! So much flavor in every bite, even for a simple plate of fries, which came in a huge mound on a medium sized plate. The four adults in our party got one entree dish each, but the favorite of the four was the beautifully plated roasted veggie dish called Farm to Table. The hula pie dessert was also a surprise on how towering it was! It could have probably been shared by 8-10 people. Being a smaller party meant that we all happily had multiple shares scoops each! Overall a great dining experience and would highly recommend coming back every night!

The service here was great, nice spot, and the hula pie is fantastic! The crab salad was good but I definitely recommend getting the dressing on the side (thought it was overdressed). Fish tacos were good, better than the meat tacos. The kids chicken was very very dry; fish was better. They did have an activity book for kids in including coloring and bingo. The bingo is looking for things in the restaurant so it helps keep them distracted while sitting at the table, and they get a sticker afterwards!

Loved the food! We had the coconut shrimp appetizer. Mai tai & Lava Flow for drinks (both great). Then the wedge salad & the ribs/chicken dish. All super! And of course the hula pie was to die for and huge!

I really like this place – had Mai Tai for the first time and it was a good first impression. There was a mix-up in our order but they compensated well. It is the perfect location as you can see the ocean from their restaurant. Their menu is affordable as one would expect in a Hawaiian restaurant.

We can’t go to Maui or Waikiki without a visit to Duke’s! It’s just the BEST! Duke’s has been a staple of the Hawaiian restaurant scene for decades, and with good reason! The superior staff, fabulous food, delicious drinks, and festive atmosphere will have you coming back for more…and more…and more! Our server even accommodated my husband’s request for a Wisconsin style Bloody Mary (for those who may not be from the Midwestern US, that means it’s served with a small beer chaser).

Gorgeous view from nearly everywhere in the restaurant. Make sure to make reservations or be prepared for a very long wait. I didn’t care much for the Crab & Mac Nut Wontons — the filling was very grainy to me. The Caesar Salad & the Sauteed Mac Nut & Herb Crusted Fish (it was Monkfish when we were there), however, were absolutely amazing! Service was okay, and the flavored iced tea was not very good, but overall, we still enjoyed our meal.

Christine was as advertised, “you will fall in love”. She was helpful and cheerful. Food came out reasonably quickly for the number of folks around. Bar was a little noisy. Views were spectacular.

We had breakfast here the other day and the bloody Mary’s were very good and I loved the Avocado toast. Very good view of the ocean and staff was very nice. We decided to stop in mid day and the Mai Tai was very good as well as the Calamari!!
