Good down-home buffet ; I will definitely return. The food was flavorful and comforting, especially the hash and rice (my favorite!).
My only minor issue is that the dining area sits directly in the path of the entrance, so there’s a steady flow of customer traffic coming through. It can feel a bit busy at times.
Overall, a great spot for a satisfying meal.

A family owned business thar serves it buffet style.. most of the time buffet burn you on good food but this was the real deal. Not only good barbecue butMac cheese and greens . Hushpuppies all were delicious …the place was filling up almost full when we left at 3:30 a crowd of about 10 coming in as we left .. great job and a good price .. service was fine .

Best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Love the buffet style. As a bigger guy I definitely got my moneys worth. Very nice sweet older lady behind the register. Gave family owned/involvement vibes. Great southern comfort food and hospitality. Great sweet tea. If you want to know what real “southern cooking” is like, this is it.

BEST food on planet Earth!!!!! No joke! I have literally been eating here since I was born and there’s no place I’d rather be. The atmosphere is very down home Southern family vibes. Their hash & rice is an institution- absolute MUST have!

I haven’t had Dukes in years and I decided to grab me something to eat from there. Back in the day the food used to be be so good, I’m not sure who they fired but they need to rehire them ASAP. Because ain’t no way the food is that disgusting now… The chicken was fine. The BBQ sauce is the same recipe, the hush puppies were delicious as always, the green beans tasted like they added a whole tub of sugar in it and nothing else. The macaroni and cheese looked like half cooked vomit… besides the look of it, it was only fairly warm and the had to nerve to be unseasoned too. My theory is that someone rushed it and took it out long before it was done cooking. It just tasted like a mouthful of black pepper… I grabbed that plate from them at 12:15pm… ya’ll just opened no more than over an hour ago aint no way That plate had the nerve to be $15 too… waste of money and very disappointing

Excellent BBQ and very good hash. Definitely would recommend the buffet with all the choices. The hash was one of the best tasting as it had a cider vinegar under tone and was very flavorful. Actually ended up taking a quart home. The hush puppies were also really good as well as many of the sides that we tried. Not too far off the highway if you driving through.

The best barbecue almost always comes from those unassuming hole in the wall places. My inner voice of confidence, the one that says “it’s gonna be great,” was already humming before I even stepped inside. At first glance, I wondered what exactly this industrial looking neighborhood had to do with good food. Still, I parked, walked in, and was immediately greeted by the unmistakable aroma of meat that had been slow smoking all day long.
A very kind older lady welcomed me and explained that the buffet was all-you-can-eat for just $17. That sounded easy enough. I grabbed a plate and began my journey down the line. There were the staples: rice, collard greens, fried okra, hush puppies.
Then came the showstoppers. A massive tray of mac & cheese, golden fried chicken, barbecue chicken, and pulled pork that looked like it had been tended with care. Oh, my. Off to the side sat squeeze bottles of sauce and ketchup, flanked by potato salad, cole slaw, and two varieties of pickles that added a crisp counterpoint to the richness of the meats.
I ate far more than I intended, but every bite was worth it. The mac & cheese was excellent, very cheesy and full of flavor. Maybe not quite as good as when Mrs. K. blesses me with her recipe, but still, excellent. The barbecue chicken was moist and seasoned just right. The pulled pork was some of the best I have had, with a few larger pieces mixed in that gave it texture and depth. It was so good it really didn’t need any sauce at all.
If desserts were offered, I didn’t see them. A small scoop of banana pudding would have tied the whole experience together in a perfect knot. Even without it, this was a five-star meal in my book. Yum, and then yum again.

Went for the first time on 2/9/24. The food was good, especially the fried chicken. I was not a fan of their hash, I thought it was lacking in flavor and I didn’t like the taste of ketchup in it. This is probably because i grew up eating hash in the upstate of SC which is completely different. I would definitely go back, just wouldn’t get the hash or maybe I’d try it again and add some pulled pork and bbq sauce to change it up a little.

Still a great place! I went here in the 80’s. It’s just a little <7 miles> off the I 26 in Orangeburg. We had the buffet. 2 kinds of chicken, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac and cheese, green beans, slaw, potato salad, pork crackling. Very good! My favorite was the fried chicken and green beans. And pork crackling! They use disposable plates, cup and flatware. The buffet is all you can eat and costs $15.
