Brisket sandwich meat is mouth watering. Cole slaw is sweet. Super tasty and reasonably priced. Clean atmosphere with background music. Friendly servers. Food came out quickly, too. Highly recommended! Yum, should satisfy your BBQ craving!

The service was wonderful. I enjoyed talking to the gentleman who cooked to the barbecue. He seemed very passionate about the business and it really showed in the product. My friend got the beef rib and it was totally decadent. I got the turkey sandwich it tastes wonderful andthe fries came out hot and the barbecue sauce is great.

First time eating here. My son & I got that out. I got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a side of Mac n cheese and the smallest drink in a Styrofoam cup. My son got a 1 meat combo and an extra side of okra. His okra wasn’t bad, but super greasy. My sandwich was extremely dry and I was really glad we got a bunch of extra barbecue sauce containers. When we opened the bag of food the lid of my mac and cheese was completely shattered. No clue why. The mac and cheese was cold and bits of plastic or throughout the whole thing. I tried transferring it into a bowl thinking I could pull out plastic pieces and still eat it and that was not an option. There were small pieces of plastic throughout the whole thing. This is unacceptable. It wasn’t even that good. We spent over $34 on two meals. Do not recommend this place. Won’t be going back.

You walk in and the smoked meat makes it difficult to decide what you feel like trying. I decided on the 2 meat option which is plenty for one person. The brisket & okra were done just right. I’ve never had with a side of ranch & it was just fine without it. The Carolina pulled pork was served up in a sauce that reminded me of country gravy. You could taste the sweet Carolina flavor coming through. If you try this option definitely take the complimentary bread. The corn on the corn was fresh & you could get it without butter. It wasn’t presalted or mushy! The condiment bar boasted of fresh salsa (jalapeño & seeds so a bit hot), onions, and large dill pickles topped off the meal. Very casual atmosphere. Has 3 tvs with sports playing. Seems it might be more of a take out joint though the seating was comfortable and plenty of tables.

When we went to eat at Dukes for the first time. My spouse and I were the only ones there other than one couple and one gentlemen. But before we left, it was getting pretty full. It’s a very cozy atmosphere. And the people are kind, and welcoming. The barbecue that they serve was delicious. My husband had the brisket sandwich, when he was done, he said, “We’re coming back!” They gave us free samples of their chicken and also some sausages. My husband said the next sandwich I’m eating is the chicken. I believe the bread they serve is homemade. Because it does not taste like any store bought bread I have ever tasted. There’s no bread in the stores that taste like that. It was amazing! I’m not a big bread eater, but I can eat that bread all day long. The only downfall is that I like my barbecue A little thicker. This one was a little more runny, but the flavor sure made up for it. I like when the barbecue hugs my ribs. I’m not a big, Mac and cheese eater either, but that Mac and cheese, I finished in no time. The restaurant is very clean and their bathrooms are clean. But it’s a one man’s show or a one woman show, only one at a time. They only have one stall for each. You won’t regret eating here, also they don’t have traditional napkins. I found it odd that they have the big Brown paper rolls of the towels that you would usually dry your hands with inside of a bathroom, but until I sat and ate the barbecue, then I understood. They would go through mountain and mountains of napkins. With the barbecue that they serve.

Hands down the worst barbecue I’ve ever had in my entire life It was so dry that you almost had to choke it down half of it wasn’t even edible just chard up You can tell it’s been sitting in a warmer forever I highly suggest everybody skip this place I knew something was up when I went around noon and there was nobody in there. The lady cutting the brisket is rude I specifically asked for moist brisket and got dried out lean The pulled pork itself was flavorless and extremely dry I don’t even know how you can manage that It takes a special person to be able to screw up a pork shoulder If I could give this place a zero out of 10 I would. Spent $75 on completely unedible food.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a restaurant review, but this place has earned it. Their brisket is the best I have ever had, and dwarfs the other bbq restaurants in the area (or anywhere on the west coast). Even the sides like Mac n cheese, potato salad , and bbq beans are all great. Truly this is a 10/10 bbq spot. Keep it up!
Ps- I paid 2$ today for an entire mason jar of spicy bbq sauce. Another great part of their offerings.

The first time a came to eat here, my friend and I had the pulled pork sandwiches. The second time I came to eat here was by myself and I had the half chicken and corn. Both times th meat was extremely dry. The skin on the chickn, which is a lot of people fave to eat, I couldn’t even pull skin off the chicken it was so dried out and sad looking. The only thing that was good was the BBQ sauce. Atmosphere is pretty blah.

We absolutely loved our first visit tonight at Duke City BBQ! We shared the pork spare ribs, brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage. All were amazing and the best we’ve had in Albuquerque. We also shared sides of beans, potato salad and fried okra. All were so good! We can’t wait to come back and plan to tell our friends who are BBQ lovers as well. The only thing we wish they had is beer! But it won’t prevent us from going back.
