It’s a nice place with outdoor seating. There was a country western band, “The Rounders”, they were exceptional. To get service, you need to walk to the bar inside. There you can get drinks and order food if you like. They will give you a number and deliver the food to your table. They were quick and friendly. Silverware and condiments were on a stand just outside the bar entrance

My favorite dive bar in Indy. The Dugout has a great setup. There are two sides, the old side with a lot of bar seating and outdoor seating along the sidewalk. The newer side is nice too and has a huge outdoor seating area. They have live music a couple nights a week which generally draws a decent crowd.

I’m not going to lie, the food was decent for bar food, but the service was horrible. The bartender barely knew what to suggest to us and gave us warm beers. On top of that, we were told to find a seat with our number and we would be waited on. The server only came to us once, didn’t provide silverware or napkins, and said no when we asked for a side of ranch.

We sat outside to eat, took over 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged as being there, they need more help for sure. The menu here is boring, just burgers and normal fanfare, but the chicken fingers were actually good. We had to serve ourselves water because we couldn’t get no service here, I personally won’t be back anytime soon.

We went to the Dugout to see a band called Train Wreck. I had been to the Dugout before but had never seen a band play there. They have a large room with a stage that’s great for enjoying live music. The band played a mix of pop and rock from the 80’s and 90’s for 3 solid hours without stopping. During the show we enjoyed some good food and drinks making for a nice experience.

The Dugout is a great place to hangout, get some food & drinks. My favorite thing there is playing Hambone’s Trivia every week! Every Wednesday my team goes because it’s such a great atmosphere, and we just love our weekly meetings at Dugout. If you’re every in the area you have to check this place out!
