Southern style BBQ
While I find the pricing perfectly reasonable, I was warned the place was a lil pricey. Service was quick and attentive however, there is not table service. Order at the counter and clear your own table. With that said they still want tipped, so do as you please.
Brisket sandwich and smoked pork belly.
Bottled and canned beers available

I was so excited to try this BBQ place on my lunch break, but unfortunately the food was not as expected. I had got the half rack of ribs with fries and hush puppies; the hush puppies were stale, the ribs were so hard and old it tasted like they gave me a old batch from yesterday (mind you I picked this order up around 1pm), the fries was the only decent thing on my plate. Although the food was lacking terribly, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I’m not sure if i’ll give them another try unfortunately.

Great, local BBQ spot. The beef, chicken salad, and mac-and-cheese were very tasty. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

I personally got a take out order on Uber eats. And I hate to say it because I see a lot of good reviews but I am extremely dissatisfied with the “bbq” I received. I suppose they don’t actually call it “brisket” on the website they just call it beef but my goodness it was SOOOOO DRY and hardly any flavor on the bark. The pulled pork was also not pleasant it was not as dry but honestly very flavorless as well. The Mac and cheese is a whole different story it was so bad it tasted like they used slices of American cheese and called it a day! Hush puppies are frozen but good. I did get the “Alabama sauce” and “hot red” that was the best part of the meal honestly I enjoyed the sauces. I don’t know if I got bad food cause it was delivery but I don’t think I’ll be going back unfortunately

As a West TN BBQ purist, I usually order brisket or chicken east of I-65, but I am happy I tried to pig sandwich here. Seasoned with rub and drippings but not sauced. A little more shredded than pulled, but very tasty, unadulterated meat ready for your own choice of sauce or, as I enjoyed, plain. Worth a 2-3 mile drive off the Interstate.

Ordered DoorDash, food was hot and fresh. Pulled pork was cooked perfectly. Had the Lexington sauce which was really good and the hot red sauce. I didn’t find that to be spicy at all. The sides—green beans, collards, baked beans and smoked taters all tasty.

Delicious, reasonably priced, plentiful food served by a really friendly server (we found out he was the kitchen manager) in a kitschy roomy dining area. I had bbq sandwich and fried okra and hush puppies. All really good. My husband got “the trough” – jumbo sandwich with two sides (mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes) with hushpuppies. Again all good. If you’re really hungry, you could order “the big slop” – a sandwich that comes with three of the many sides and hushpuppies. The names cracked me up! Overall a great experience…good food, good service, and good atmosphere. We would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Hubby and I own a freight company and travel frequently. We are always looking to try establishments other than your typical chain eateries. Due South did NOT disappoint!!! I had the 1/2 chicken and collard greens. I usually always have vinegar with my greens. I wish I’d have doused my greens with their Lexington sauce. It’s primary ingredient is apple cider vinegar and with the spices it would be absolute fire on greens!!! Hubby had the 1/2 rack of ribs, crispy french fries and baked beans. Definitely 5+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And…I loved the kitschy country decor!!!!!
