We stumbled across Dude’s Drive In while out and about visiting antique stores in the area. What a nice place to eat!!! We didn’t have to get out of our car because the server came to us…. Took our order, then brought our food to us. We cashed out right from our parking place in the lot. The hamburger was fresh. We were told it had never been frozen, and from the taste, I believe this to be true. The fries were fresh and hot, too. The price was reasonable for what we got. We will definitely visit here again when we are in Christiansburg.

The service and atmosphere were incredible. As out-of-towners, we felt like we had been coming there all our lives. My hotdog was concerningly red but I bit into it anyway, only to discover that it looked as though it had been artificially colored. It never occurred to me to ask if their meat was artificially colored or flavored before ordering, but I ended up throwing the hotdog away and finding another spot for lunch.

This was the worst cheeseburger I have ever tried. I didn’t eat for a day and a half and I was sooo hungry. I took 1 bite and then some pictures. Terrible. Super thin patty not the 1/4 pound they say it is. So much mayo and whatever else they could slap on it. It was bad. In the pic I ha e already taken a napkin and wiped some stuff off. Yeah never again. What a colossal waste of $14. The brat inside giving me stink eye. Just a terrible experience. I’m still hungry but that left me not trusting.

I ordered too bacon cheeseburgers. Order fries order a Teter tots 2 sodas, with $35 in something. The waitress was rude. The food this is the first time I’ve ever been to dodes and the food is not being good barely had any bacon at all on it. If it had one piece, it’d be amazing. It was not happy at all

Great local fast food stop, fairly close to I-81. We visited on a Saturday evening during a drive along Interstate 81 and pulled into a curb-service parking space. A staff member quickly came up and asked for our order. The menu was clearly printed on multiple sides of the building for easy reading but with no prices listed (no inflation updating required). We ordered a Dude burger, tots, cheeseburger, fries, and a couple sodas (Pepsi products, no Coke). A few minutes later our food was delivered to the car, total was $18 and change and we added a tip for the staff member. Our burgers were great, fries and tots were crispy, and Pepsi was…Pepsi. We ate inside the car and were back on the road quickly. Overall, a great place to stop for a quick bite and we’ll be back.

Who doesn’t like a drive in? Especially one who has been in business for as long as this place. I grew up in the area and loved coming here as a kid, it’s one of the few places that haven’t changed since I’ve been gone. I fondly remember coming here with my parents and grandparents, the food was just how I remembered. This is one of the few places I recommend coming to if my friends are coming through the area. The foods good and it takes you back to the good ol days.

Love this place! We found this place by Google search on our way home from a Dr appointment. What a hidden gem! We used to have a drive-in like this in our home town that closed down, so this place brought back fond memories. The burgers are so good and so are the fries and onion rings. They also will put cherry flavoring in your drink. My mom and I got it in our lemonade and it was delicious! Waitresses (car hops) were very friendly and service was fast.

The only problem here is that you’ll have a hard time deciding what to get, because their food is so good. You get hot dogs you’re gonna regret not getting the dude burger. You get the dude burger you’re gonna regret not getting hot dogs. Awesome place with a great staff. Thanks for what you all do!

Was passing thru the area for the night, read the reviews and decided to try it. Excellent food!!! Really unique place. Everything we had was excellent. We had the footlong hotdog with cheese and ketchup, kids cheeseburger and fries, chuckwagon dinner, BBQ sandwich with slaw and a midget burger that has chili and mustard. The ladies were super nice! Definitely a must stop!
