Great dinner after a long drive on the interstate!!! Love the hometown feel and the Christian framed posters, multiple menu options. And to top it off a surprise ice cream cone for everyone!!!

It was the first time we had went there. There was nobody eating inside, so we were kind of afraid. I ordered a salad with my food and it was surprisingly a super fresh salad bar. The food was great. Love to the vintage atmosphere and the people were kind. Thank you for making our day better.

The menu has a large selection favorite from the great American cookbook. Steak, white fish, burgers, chicken, turkey, potatoes. Impressive desserts are also a delight. The old fashioned malts are some of the better ones. Admittedly, it is not high end cuisine and special recipes and sauces, but it is the best for miles. And the salad bar is tiny. Service is very personable. Remember to call ahead… for whatever reason they close for a few days sometime. Also, pay your check up front.

Nestled in a small town square sits Dude Ranch Cafe. It is a snug environment but very cozy and endeavoring. The staff is very helpful and considerate. There is a small salad bar in the middle of the restaurant that has a moderate amount of options to build your salad. I ordered the chicken fried chicken plate, and it was wonderful. At the end of the meal, I received a mini ice cream cone; the Irish cream. It was a nice way to end a delicious meal. The only negative part of the visit was that it was a bit warm inside and in the entranceway it had a dirty smell. Otherwise, this is a great place to stop for a filling meal.

Excellent food and service. Great portions for the price. Might be wise to save room for the dessert. We were sad we didn’t get any, it looked amazing, and the complimentary ice cream cones were my favorite part! Can only imagine what the milkshakes taste like. We will be planning trips around stopping here in the future. We liked the servers, and LOVED my BBQ pork sandwich, husband liked the chicken fried chicken, and kids were happy with their food too.

Have had great service in the past, but tonight, yes admittedly they were busy, but to let a guy stand for twenty minutes to not even ask or offer a place to set down, and refuse to even do an order to go. I offered to come back later and she just walked away. Sorry I bothered anyone

Best bacon I’ve ever had. And a generous portion, 5 big pieces! The cook must have a very special bacon supplier. Plus the way it’s cooked it ends up curly with just enough crunch. Need I say more? (Excellent friendly service. Not strong trucker coffee, but it was tasty. Terrific, fluffy scrambled eggs.) Highly recommend. We were on a long road trip from WA to AZ and it really hit the spot. Malad is a really cute little town.

Wowzer! Show up hungry. The Titanic portions served at the Dude Ranch Cafe easily satisfy a Paul Bunyan sized appetite. The food and service are excellent. Also, try the Maliboo chicken sandwich (pictured below); it’s delish.
