I have lived here for years and had no idea we had a chef prepared restaurant. Was a bit nervous since the outside and location has a bit of a “dive bar” vibe but the inside is beautiful and very clean and the food was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming more often now that I found this gem.

I typically order the Ribeye which is perfect every time. I opted for the Chicken Marsala tonight as I figured it would hold better as I ordered take out. Asked for roasted mashed potatoes instead of pasta. It was delicious. Perfect amount of sauce and mushrooms. I appreciate that the sauce wasn’t poured over the chicken so it was still pan fried crisp by time I arrived home. Staff was friendly and helpful as always. Still my favorite place for nearly 2 decades.

From the moment we arrived, the host greeted us with genuine politeness and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Payton was especially personable, welcoming us with a warm smile that immediately set the tone for the evening.
Our server, Mrs. Glendora, was absolutely phenomenal. We never wanted for a thing, and her service was as sincere as it was attentive—truly the kind of care that makes you feel valued, not just served.

We went for lunch and it wasn’t very busy. The food wasn’t bad. The atmosphere feels like you’re supposed to have a glass of wine with whatever you’re having. The service was slightly on the slow, at the time of our visit, but overall it was alright. We’d like to come back in the evening time for one of the various events & see how that is.

Tried this place off of a recommendation from a coworker, and it did not let me down. In fact, the Experience at this establishment saved my wife’s Birthday tonight. If you want to impress your love somewhere in Jacksonville this is the spot. The Food, atmosphere, drinks, and the SERVICE were all absolutely incredible. The staff was professional , kind, attentive and helpful. The food looked and tasted divine and was very much worth the price paid alone but it was the service that won the night. Nick, our waiter made us feel special on my wife’s day and I am simply blown away by the level of service he gave us. So if you haven’t tried them yet go check out Ducks and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This dining experience was incredible. The Fried Green Tomatoes were fantastic, The pimento cheese with the bacon jam set them above any FGTs I’ve ever had. The T-Bone was cooked perfectly and the blue cheese sauce was delectable. The Lamb was beyond delicious and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was fantastic. Her timing was spot on and her recommendation on a drink to go with dessert was amazing. The Red Velvet Cake was outstanding, incredible.

Food was delicious, the salmon florentine was amazing as was the crab dip. The drinks were weak, though. Our service was lackluster and the hostess seemed a little frazzled. Its kind of a strange vibe.. prices and menu reflect a higher end place, but then theres bar top tables alongside booths where most people are loudly discussing the sports on. Id say its more a fancy sports bar than a fancy restaurant for sure.

Ducks is a great place to grab a drink and socialize. They used to have really good food and then there were some menu changes. I still do like their wings! However, I don’t know what happened to the crab dip but it turned into an imitation crab mush. I would not get this again. I, personally, am not a fan of the new menu changes.
