Some of the friendliest employees here, nice folk. I just had the catfish po boy (only available on Fridays) and was very impressed. I’ve had po boys before but I’m pretty sure this is my first legit one, the bread they use makes a difference.
The gumbo was delicious as well. Very balanced in spices and salt. Compliments to the chefs!

This place is great! Nice little family owned market/restaurant. Super friendly staff working there, you definitely need to be frequenting this place if you’re in the area. Check out the chef’s art while you’re there! Oh, the food is great too, everything I have tried has been delicious. Really good burger, no reason to go any of the chain places around when this is right here! Oh, they have a nice soda bottle selection, as well.

Fun little time capsule back to old timey market & sandwich shop. This rustic, fun lil diner played fun big band music and had delicious gumbo. Great pork belly blts and bologna sandwiches too. Very affordable. Popular with workers in the area.

Cute little spot to get cheap and well made food!!
We had the gumbo and rice, kickin chicken lollipops, chicken finger poboy!
The lollipops were my favorite, they weren’t too hot and they were delicious.
Make sure you get here before 12pm! They are busy!!!!

I had the pork belly BLT po boy and red beans and rice and my wife had the gumbo. The red beans and rice and gumbo were fantastic, but the pork belly BLT po boy may be one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The atmosphere here is great and the staff is very friendly. Definitely a hidden gem in the STL area.

Today was the first time I’ve made it by Duck In Market but it definitely won’t be the last! I got the catfish Po Boy and Cajun fries, and they were unbelievable! Highly recommend! Cool atmosphere as well!

We loved it. I had the catfish poor boy (only served on Friday) and my wife had the duck in burger (she loved it). We both had Cole slaw and it was also good.
Located just off the bike trail, so that’s how we wound up here.
Cute combination of little store, bait, and restaurant, but it works. They told me that has been here 4 years, but it felt much older (in a good way).

I’m so glad I found this hidden gem. Stewart was extremely nice and recommended their Friday special their cat fish po boy. It was the best catfish I have had in town. Will definitely be back.

Best food in town. The owners and workers are awesome. Don’t get by here as much as I used to but anytime I’m in the area it’s a must stop for lunch.
