I tried Duck Donuts for the first time today. It is so incredible. I’ve been missing out. I didn’t realize the donuts are served WARM! The toppings are added once the donuts are ordered, so awesome.
Also the gentlemen who helped me, and all of the staff there today, were great. While it was busy, they maintained a smile and positive attitude and spoke highly of their product. I can’t wait to visit again.

Had an appointment nearby and looking to treat myself after having to fast this morning and so glad to pick Duck Donuts as the place to stop! I had one dilated eye so I was not able to enjoy the fresh donut decorating window, but there were children there enjoying seeing the donuts being made. My grandkids would love this. The donuts are freshly made to order and you can see the toppings and frosting you picked being added. My husband only likes cake donuts and that is the only kind they serve. Freshly fried and fluffy light and served warm. I ate 2 on the way home! I ordered the Breakfast box and it’s a nice assortment. My husband would prefer a bit less frosting (yes, his favorite donut is a plain cake-not kidding) but, next time, he can order his that way, but he ate 3 on the way home (long drive. I ate the bacon and maple one, Yum! We both had a regular coffee and they make that from freshly ground beans, so that made for a very nice comfort treat, good coffee and good donuts.

The service was friendly and they have to work quickly as it was a busy place. You can order ahead if you don’t have time to wait.
We got some extras for another day (or later ) and would definitely stop there again. ☺️

As a dad currently displaced into Madison from Wausau with his oldest child in the hospital down here. This place was a heaven send for bringing some comfort and atmosphere. The staff is the friendliest I’ve seen in a donut shop. The donuts were fresh hot and made to order I had the lemon and chocolate covered strawberry donuts. And a latte. I just was looking for good coffee. I found good coffee, amazing donuts and amazing friendly staff. I will be back at least a few more times while being down here. Its not just donuts they’ve got ducks too!

Glazed Pumpkin Spice Donut: Duck Donuts was founded in 2007 in Duck, North Carolina (although they’re headquartered in Pennsylvania). They’ve since expanded to numerous locations across the U.S. and even overseas. Their mascot is Ollie the Duck, who can be found on the sign and packaging. I learned a few things on my first visit. All the donuts are cake style donuts (as opposed to raised/yeast, which I tend to prefer) and they’re made to order. The made to order is a pro and a con as you don’t have to stress that they will sell out, but you might have to wait a bit for your order. You can also order ahead, but at this time there is no app and I had issues (which were resolved) with placing an order on their website. Being October and a lover of pumpkin desserts, I had to try the Glazed Pumpkin Spice Donut. It comes glazed with cinnamon sugar and pumpkin spice buttercream. The body of the donut was heavy, dense, and pleasantly chewing with just the right amount of moistness and not too dry and cakey. Flavor was sweet, buttery, and of course pumpkin with hints of cinnamon. I loved the gritty sugar granules, but they were sadly confined to just the pumpkin buttercream island in the center. I’m always a little anxious that a pumpkin spice dessert will be too spicy or a burning spice, but this was sweet, not overpowering, and delicious. Doughboy approved

The kids loved it, and so did we! Sweet, sweet, sweet! This was our second visit, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the great experience.
There’s a small apparel shop with fun items like sweaters, cups, and ducks. While they do have tables, I wish there was a bit more space, but overall, it’s a great spot for both kids and adults to enjoy a sweet treat.
The availability of bathrooms is super convenient too!

Stopped here on a whim and loved it! The donuts were warm and fresh and watching them top them was super fun. The owner created a fun atmosphere and made some recommendations for toppings. I can’t wait to try the breakfast sandwiches next!

I came in to buy 2 boxes of assorted doughnuts for my staff and was blown away. They were made fresh and hot right in front of me! Well worth the short wait. They were absolutely stunning and delicious. My whole team ate them, loved them and would not stop raving about how good they were…Needless to say I earned massive boss points and I would highly recommend.
